Just saw the paper, and actually thought it was a typo. Nice of the Rangers to score late when it didn't matter to window dress the score. I turned it off after the empty net to go to my own hockey game. Fuckers.

terrible. Almost shut out by an inept Florida team, good job Rangers.

Can't wait for Saturday when we're utterly embarassed by the Debbies.

The Sens need two points from three games, two of which are against teams with nothing to play for, to make the playoffs. It is certainly possible, given recent form, that the Jets beat Montreal in their one remaining game and that the Sens get no more than a single point from their remaining three, but you would be a bit silly to put money on it.

Have no idea what to say about this one. Do you think the idea of benching Richards after his game-costing tripping penalty even crossed Tortorella's mind?

Lundqvist has a bad habit of losing games where he faces less that 20 shots.

Cant bench guys down the stretch...Just need to tell them to shoot the puck.

Was it me or did Nash look gassed in the last 2-3 minutes of the game. He was doing everything possible to keep the puck with his stick while dragging mobilizing in turtle speed

Thats my point. Teams with nothing to play for have no pressure at all. Thats what makes these games so hard. They play loose and care free hockey.

No room for error for the Rangers, Sens or Jets. Rangers have 2 games to get points, Sens have 3.

I don't think it's a matter of just letting any shot go through. People are just getting quality shots off. Like that power play goal Florida had. He was screened by a Florida player AND a Rangers player, couldn't see the puck was passed, and it was a nice shot into the upper corner where he couldn't see. Nothing you can do about that. They didn't clear the crease.

Typical performance from this team this season...........inconsistent as always, 38 shots, but merely a few that were good chances, another case of refusing to go to the net (they scored when they finally did). and WTF was Torts thinking with pulling the goalie in that situation?

They will regret this loss. Winnipeg will beat Montreal, who sucks right now......and the Rangers will find a way to blow it against Carolina, thus leaving it up to the Devils game, and I think most of us know what will happen if it comes to that. Ottawa's got Wash next, Caps have nothing to do but rest guys. not sure who Ottawa finshes against.

That's another thing. I am sick an tired of the Panther's goaltender being praised as if he were Patrick Roy. He made one good glove save the entier game. Every other shot was off his pads on in his chest.

One of the worst things in the long awful tenure of Sather will be his lack of putting a worthy team in front of Hank. He came close last year, but the window will start to close. This will just be another wasted year.

There's a pretty good team in front of Hank right now, they just lack consistency and that same willingness to pay the price like they did last year (either getting to the net, fighting, blocking shots etc).

What a blown opportunity to move into 6th seed.

I always get nervous when we vastly out-shoot a team on the road without netting any goals early. Losing the first goal in that scenario just sparks the other team and crowd.
    Frustrating one..

There's no way you can have a discrepancy with the talent in front of Hank. There's plenty. Sometimes it's just not the right mix. Hard to say what they need.

Not to change the subject on that, but Clowe's been quiet since his first couple games huh?

Yeah, that has happened a few times this season, only to see a 0-0 score at the end of the first. That's been a recipe for a loss everytime.........because they then give up very few chances to the other team , but give the high quality type that wind up in the net and down 1-0 about half way through the game and chase it for the remainder.

Yeah Clowe has been quiet, but at least Pyatt has a few points lately..........at least one of those guys has to produce something on offense, both of them at the same time would be a miracle at this point.

Home v Philly, away to Boston. We have by far the toughest run-in of anyone, I think.

That's a good point. There is a very short list of players on this team that when they lace up the skates every night, you know you are going to get 60 minutes of everything they got. Let's See:

    Callahan
    Nash
    Staal (When he was healthy)
    .
    .
    .
    Ummm....
