can't be blaming Sather anymore in my opinion.......plenty of Taent on this roster. Effort is the question, that would be more on Torts perhaps, or ....gulp...the players themselves. Gotta say if they somehow blow this and don't make the playoffs Torts may have to be fired...even though I like him as a coach..... there does seem to be some disconnect between team and coach this year.
looking for my insides. i puked so hard i think they landed in the next beachtown. gotta go find them. what a bust that was. feeling perturbed, naaah, i'm fuckin' pissed off. another jackrolling of the hockey senses. im getting too old for this shit. honestly. i have no control over this crap whatsoever, why do i get so angry still after all these years?
I ask myself this question all of the time (as does my wife), and sadly it applies to football as well as hockey..........it's the 13 year old in me that won't go away.
Some people just refuse to give opposing teams credit for a game well played. Florida played a strong game and their goalie was outstanding.
Florida is the worst team in the east, and we need wins to secure a higher seed and playoff birth. Rangers should have swept the floor against them..
I have to agree with GreenDay. Sometimes it's not that easy. Like I wrote yesterday, it was a really frustrating loss. But not an infuriating one like I've experienced a bunch of times this year. They didn't get "outplayed" but idk, not good.
They should have beaten Florida.......yeah they played a decent game (Fla), but they're last in the conference for a reason. Rangers had a ton of he puck and somehow couldn't get a good chance....Zuccarello was the only guy on the ice that was going to the net with some abandon........smallest guy on the team....if the rest of the team played with that determination they woud have scored 3 or 4 easily instead of settling of what equates for hoops perimeter jump shots. The Rangers have shown that tendency a lot this season, a lot of non quality shots. They do that again tonight and we'll be sweating it out on Saturday.
i love to blame my own personal shortcomings on our beloved rangers, jets, etc. it's so much easier than accepting the fact that i'm socially regressed, immature, irresponsible, and unfixable across the board. it's all the rangers and jets fault.
i had season tix for the yanks from '75 in shea through '87, or '88. then i bolted out here. they're the only team i can count on for some true joy. I went to Villanova for one year by the way. went to school 6 days, and had a great time the rest of the time there. school and i were never very good friends. god damnit they need two points tonight!!
with this team, you can only hope for tonight's performance. haven't been consistent enough to try to project past one game. the panther game is the ultimate proof of that.
Retardation is the only way I can describe this post. God forbid Markstrom has a good day. So because he's on the worst team, he's supposed to give up 50 goals? That's not how it works. He's in the NHL, that makes him one of the best goalies in the United States right now. Just because he's not the best, doesn't mean he can't do extremely well on a random night here and there.
Did you actually watch the game? Markstrom, God of all Goaltenders was forced to make one quality save (A Glove save in the third period). Every other shot was either an unobstructed pad save, or a shot right in his chest. That Panther symbol might as well have been a Bullseye. This was not about a good opponent playing a good game. This was about the Rangers firing such poor quality shots, that an opposing AHL-quality goaltender was allowed to pad his stats for one night. Watch the games. It helps.
holy crap, looking in the mirror....same first name too. I've also noticed you employ the same stategy i do of watching or not watching games and thinking that will have an impact on the outcome......I'm thinking a support group is in order here. I'm pretty convinced the universe revolves around me, not you! lol
