Updated policy on what u can bring to game http://www.newyorkjets.com/footer/stadium-faq.html What can I bring into MetLife Stadium on gameday? A new carry-in bag policy has been instituted by the NFL for all teams in order to ensure that game attendees experience a safe and secure environment. Effective immediately, fans may bring only the following style and size bag, package, or container into the stadium: Bags that are CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” in size Every Season Ticket Holder will receive one complimentary Jets clear tote bag per two seats; this bag(s) will be sent along with the Yearbook in early August One-gallon clear plastic food storage bag Small clutch bag approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap – this can be carried separately or within a clear bag Items that are medically necessary, after proper inspection at a specified gate designated for this purpose Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: all purses, bags or containers larger than a small clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, and camera bags; seat cushions are also prohibited If you choose to bring these items to the stadium and do not have a place to store them during the game, you can check them at the Bag Check located on the exterior of the stadium between Verizon and SAP Gates or at other designated locations To facilitate stadium entry, the Jets encourage all game attendees to bring only what they need to the game. Please note this is a League-wide initiative, so if you are traveling to Jets away games, all stadiums will follow these guidelines. Carry-In Policy Guests are welcome to carry-in to the stadium the following items: Food contained in a clear plastic bag Factory-sealed, plastic bottles of water or soft drinks that are 20 oz. or less in size (caps will be removed by Safety Services team members). Still-photography cameras with a lens that is 6” or less in length Jackets or blankets after being patted down or searched Guests may not carry-in the following items: Bottles, cans, hard-sided coolers, thermoses or ice chests Alcohol of any kind Weapons or anything that can be used as a projectile or is deemed dangerous by Stadium management Banners, signs or flags of any size Umbrellas, strollers, balls of any kind including full sized footballs, laser pointers, or Frisbees Single purpose video cameras or still-photography cameras with a lens longer than 6” Any animal with the exception of a service animal Any other item deemed inappropriate by Stadium management
6 inches or less for the lens? what the hell is the use of taking wide shots of the field when youre up in the bleachers?
You don't need a camera. Woody says you can buy all the jet pics you want at the Jet Shop after the game for $49.99 per pic.
so if u take the train to the game, like they want u too, u will have to check your back pack into a locker at an additional cost.
Those clear plastic bags are also allowed to have little signs on them that say "here is the stuff I have that is worth stealing from me in the parking lot."
Negativity Sarcasm Low Expectations Derision Schadenfreude And Hope, as long as it is under 3 fl ounces.
You people are unbelievable! First, you can thank the Tsarnaev brothers for this. Take your anger out on them. Second , this is a league- wide policy and is not coming from the Jets. Third, what do you really need to bring in the stadium in the first place that can't fit in these containers anyway? Fourth, I prefer the security to be safe in a facility that is clearly a target for terrorists. If you don't like it, sell your tickets and stay home!
Tell my why Met life is the only place in the country where you have to take the top off your plastic water bottle since 9/11. Morons!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BINGO. I dont get why people go to the games now anyways. HDTV's, Drunken assholes, and having the NFL's hand in your pocket are all the reasons I need. I also get to watch the other games and keep an eye on FBB...maybe even get a BJ from the wife...maybe...well never really
They don't let you in if you don't have that:grin: I am pretty sure that started before 9/11, I think it was in response to the Cleveland fans throwing bottles but I could be wrong. I don't see any issues w/ their policies.
