I had to think of something witty to put against Shelden's game...He was a beast last night, I like what I see.
He will be a force to reckon with along side Mo.

I think Idzik made a solid pick here...He could easily be the best of the 3 we drafted this year.

I think he will be a sack machine.

Glad someone made a thread that brings out a positive about this team

Richardson is going to be a beast and our Dline should be dominate especially if Coples comes back and can play the OLB role

I hope his success translates into the regular season.

His beard is a force to be reckoned with on its own!

He recorded his first sack last game but he's been pretty dominant the whole preseason against other teams 1's. He is going to surprise a lot of people on this forum this season book it.

Both Harrison & Richardson were stout inside, a big reason why we gave up like 8 points on 5 turnovers (incl. the safety, which isn't on the defense). Hard to think of it as a "road" game really, but as a "home" game for the Giants they got 5 turnovers (+4) and needed a last second field goal to TIE. That's awful, but our D was a big part of that. If they play that way all season, we're going to be really happy (with that side of the ball, at least).

I do agree, first run from Wilson was definitely unacceptable for ANY defense let alone ours but to pretty much shut down an offense with that many turnovers is pretty incredible.

He would only surprise people if he doesn't play well, he is after all a first round pick. (Oh and we have all already forgotten that Ghoulston was a first rounder too).

Agreed with everyone! I really like our defense, minus Wilson in any other position other than slot/nickel.

Our D-Line is fantastic, including the depth! I was really really stoked to watch those guys work! At least there will be one facet of our team that will merit watching all season! Sheldon is a monster...VERY good pickup!

I am still worried about speed in the middle but let's see how things shape up as everyone becomes comfortable and gels. Outside that one run they were lights out.

FIVE turnovers usually means you just got hammered! Pre-season or otherwise. To come away with a win is a true testament to those guys. They should be proud!!

Very true but I feel like from reading some of the posts on this forum that some people believe first rounders are suppose to produce like hall of famers immediately when that is not the case for most teams. I have just been very impressed with Sheldon especially considering he never played in a 3-4 defense.

He's been solid. It would be great to see him evolve into a beast.

You don't think he's been playing like a beast?

Let's see it in the regular season, on a consistent basis, when it counts.

I think he can. Hopefully he will.

It was preseason But speaking specifically against him vs other team's 1's. He's been disruptive in both the running game and passing game which is very good considering he plays on the inside of the line 90% of the time.

Agreed. No argument there. I just want to see it in the regular season.

I thought it was awesome how he tossed Eli Manning like a rag doll...He was hyped when he got his sack. It was nice to see, on the other side Shaun Rogers for the Giants was looking sharp.

Kyle Wilson is hot garbage, no need to discuss him in this thread.

I'm definitely with you there, would love to see that in the regular season. He can be a special player if he wants to be, that type of athleticism is rarely seen in a defensive lineman.
