IF, we were to pick up Josh Gordon or Kenny Britt how good could this team be?

Despite reports to the contrary, coach Rob Chudzinski and CEO Joe Banner have maintained that they are not shopping Gordon and have no plans to trade him.

I always thought Dowling could have been a decent player. I'm not sure if we need another injury nightmare.

    Trade

Gordon has two strikes in the NFL drug program. The Browns want to get rid of him. Don't bite high.

Think about it, our new GM in his first year comes in and trades a 3rd round pick & a player for a guy that's 1 failed drug test away from a year suspension.

Pretty ballsy if you ask me.

If we do this it is because our FO thinks we have a legitimate shot at a home super bowl. I like the idea of Geno and Gordon playing together long term but there are other ways to find him a go to guy. This is for a run.
Not to mention it would be interesting if the Browns give us Gordon just a few days before we play the Bengals

If we could land this guy for a 3rd and a 5th in a draft where we already have duplicate picks in multiple rounds... wow. He's a first round talent without question. You run the risk of him fucking up and getting suspended, but the talent is SO obvious that I think most GMs would take the risk. Imagine Geno and Gordon, two years from now, two years more experienced, two years more chemistry.

That being said, I'd be shocked if this happened. The Browns have no reason to trade one of the best young receivers in the game when they will most likely be drafting a new QB for him to grow with.

I trade for him all the time in Madden so you know I'm on bored

the drug test is a red flag though but we have so much talent under 25 I want to keep adding more

I don't want him for a run at the Super Bowl.. I think that the Jets are too inconsistent for that. I want them to get him because he's the same age as any receiver that they would draft, and he's already a proven NFL receiver.

They have the same reason to trade him that we have not to trade for him..that third strike.

I'm warming up to the idea of Hill/Gordon on the outside and Kerley in the slot. Pretty dangerous offense right there.
