"Cromartie told Gary Myers of the New York Daily News that Brady is "an asshole" when asked about what kind of guy he is.

He also said that he hates Brady."

I kinda like the guy talking to be completely honest.

The only reason Wilson isn't receiving boatloads of hate, is because Milliner is so horrible.

Market dictates.... if no one is willing to pay that.... he isn't going to get it. After this season the Bucs are having, I can see that happen, unless someone like Denver or SF want a shortterm rental

Cro has NEVER been a physical CB despite being one of the bigger CBs in the league, and has never played with disciplined technique, but relies on his crazy athleticism.
Unfortunately that doesn't cut it when you're dealing with hip & knee issues (probably the worst things for a position that relies on swiveling / quick adjustments) and getting older......

    :shit:

The problem here is that Idzik drafted, and managed for public relations.

Instead of taking, say Richardson, at 9...Eiffert at 13, Smith is still at 39, and Matthieu to play the slot, and return,

He drafted Milliner because he traded Revis, and Rushed Geno onto the field to mitigate the Sanchez hate....when It should not have been been necessary.

I think the most success he's had has been the Ivory acquisition, and landing Morningwood

And to go one step further on Milliner...everyone makes a point about how even tho he had five surgeries he didn't miss any time. But, he also wasn't playing against guys every game with the size and speed of NFL players, including the guys that will be hitting him.

It isn't like Milliner comes from some small school. His transition should't be this rough. I am beginning to wonder if he is going to be a "make a great play once in a while, look mediocre or worse more often (see, Smith,Otis)

Exactly, his height and wingspan is what makes it hard to throw around him...thats the one thing that highlighted Revis' talent...Revis isn't blessed with that soze/speed combination.

Sad, that certain teams distort the worth of a CB, in terms of the cap.

And Revis is already dissatisfied with Schiano.

It's just my hope as a fan that Revis might come around after spending a season in Tampa. Maybe after playing for a dysfunctional organization with a dictator as head coach and a locker room that needs to be disinfected every week due to MSRA he will consider coming home for a few million less.

Also, hopefully after watching that shitshow last week any resistance that came from ownership might go away.

I was having flashbacks to Otis "My Man" Smith last week. At least Smith was good for a few ints...

The most disconcerting thing about Milliner thus far is that he hasn't at least shown that he can be one of those "make a...play once in a while" type of guys. Even Otis "Burnt Toast" Smith would manage to get the occasional INT or PD in between long TDs given up. I expect a rookie CB to be challenged and even expect for said CB to be the loser in most of those challenges. What I look for is the flashes that provides little glimpses of the future. They will get theirs but you need to get some too; it shouldn't be a one sided thing. Look at Antonio Allen (a.k.a. Double AA), when he went up against Gronk, he competed. Gronk got his but he made some plays against him as well. Those plays turned out to be the difference in the game. I'm still waiting for that one flash to keep me hopeful about Milliner.

For Cromartie to spend any more time with his hands on WRs, he'd have to be glued to them.

 at making a run for DPOY having anything to do with what is said to the media.

It just goes to show you how quickly people change their support of players on the team. Jets fans have selective amnesia. Last year people were praising Cromartie as he was a top CB, yet just at the beginning of that year there was a thread called "Cromartie is a piece of shit" bashing him to high hell because of a media comment. Was he not making a run at the pro bowl? Holmes was dead on accurate when he told the media that Sanchez needed better protection, yet he was crucified and people said he was causing a disturbance in the locker room and all that other dramatic nonsense that has nothing to do with football. How is what Wilkerson said any different at all?

I honestly don't care that Wilk's said this because it's true (just like Cro & Holmes comments). I'm just tired of people being hypocrites and bashing one player for something and calling him a cancer while another one is exempt just cause. Jets fans are the worst when it comes to hypocrisy like that.

You are right; he is using his hands but at the wrong time. We need those hands on the WRs at the LOS and up to the first 5 yards but not after.

Exactly. He is getting his hands on receivers when they are even or about to beat him, and you just can't do that. He needs to get his hands on the receiver at the LOS.

And Big Mo will be here next year and Cro will not.

What will probably happen is Shiano will be fired sometime in November, and fire the GM at the end of the season. This was supposed to be the year where they added those few pieces needed to be a contender, but instead fell apart amidst tons of drama and the releasing of their QB. The Revis trade will be viewed as a big mistake, and that's one of the reasons the GM will be fired.

They'll probably keep Revis initially, but ultimately he will be deemed too expensive. They will probably try to trade him after 2014, but nobody will be willing to take on his huge contract. They will ask him if he would be willing to take a pay cut, and he will say "go f*@k yourself". At that point, they will probably cut him, and either a bottom-feeder team will pay him $14m a year or whatever, or he will have to take $10m or so, and that would be the time when the Jets could theoretically get him back, best case scenario. It's also possible that the Bucs will be willing to keep overpaying him and try to "do less with more" but it's hard to be successful when 1/3 of the budget for your defense is being spent on 1 cornerback.

EXACTLY. He does this on almost EVERY play. He's going to get called more and more as the season goes on because everyone knows he does it now.
