Look at these pussy cat logos ... Jags - Panthers - That's why. I mean you got the Steelers and Ravens uniforms. Raiders are still a dirty ass team even though they suck now a days ... plus Al Davis died that dude was scary as hell! That has to count for something right? Dude was the Crypt Keeper from back in the day!
Bal won a SB w/ a much better team when they didn't wear black leotards. The only folks the Raiders scare nowadays are the few hundred fans in drag that still attend games.
What is the logic behind this rule?Is it because they don't want players to wear different helmets because of concussion issues? This sucks, because I've been dying to see the 80s/90s throwbacks with the kelly green helmets.
yes and an 80s throwback was in the works too. We'll see if the NFL changes this rule at some point. My guess is they will b/c throwback uni's mean more $$$$ for the NFL.
Why r some of you "yungins" hatin' on those ol'-skool, Titan uni's ? Did you know that the "blue & gold" the Titans wore were somewhat due to Titan's owner, Harry Wismer's, appreciation/tribute of/to the ND Fighting Irish along with playing college football @ Michigan State (I only know this 'cause the GREATEST TITAN/JETfan I ever knew -my pops- may he RIP) insisted that I was gonna be a JET-Junkie since "birf"! I think the ol'Titan uni's are kinda' kool!
that sucks. i wonder why they would do that. edit... disregard i see that was answered. yeah they will have it back next year or the following, these guys wont do anything that hurts business. i dont mind the titans unis, never heard the story about wismer.
I like them, not enough to demand their return though. I'm not sure how keeping one helmet for the entire year is better for concussions, but regardless its a bad change from the No Fun League. first the super logos lack originality because Goodell wants it to be as iconic as the olympic rings (news flash, an event where the numerals change year to year can NEVER be a stable iconic logo, XLVIII one year to L in two, real iconic) and now there can't be throwbacks because... what padding takes the to work? I appreciate the graphic elements that go behind sports logos and jersey's, the NFL has disappointed me greatly in this regard of late.
Love 'em. Fucking love 'em, both home and away. Sadly, the colors are too sophisticated for Joe 12-pack. You can't force good taste onto people. Yeah, I said it!
