    what we do know is:

mark leads all Jets starting QBs w/ 4 playoff wins(next best has 2)
mark leads in road playoff wins(next best is 2)
mark leads in title game apps(next best is 1)

Those are not what ifs, those are facts.

    Here are some facts

Based on numbers Mark has the most turnovers between 09-12.

Statistically Mark may be the worst starting QB ever based on certain number of starts.

Mark has consistently ranked in the bottom 5 among starting QB's.

Mark has had 20+ turnover seasons in 3 of his 4 years in the league.

Based on all that you think this guy should be the starter? I really don't know what you see in Sanchez. He's nothing special at all.

I guess people forget that we've seen Sanchez play this year, his first pass was a lions touchdown. The dude flat out sucks!!!!!

add 1 qtr to 2013 and Eli overtakes him

you can have your fantasy stats, I'll take wins. I know mark should have been the starter and so does everyone on that coaching staff, unfortunately Idzik has the power.

Never called him special, guys like Brady are special but he is a good QB and one you can win big with and those guys are hard to find.

I did choose the "better off" option. He did look like he was more comfortable in this particular offense in the pre-season and who knows how that would have translated to the regular season. There's a whole lot of tape on Mark Sanchez that dictates he would have shit the bed at some point this season. The question remains how much.

I think with Sanchez under center we sweep the Patriots, though. I think he wins that game. Also, I believe with Sanchez under center we are in the conversation for the Tennessee and Buffalo games. At worse I feel the Jets are sitting on a 7-4/6-5 record and not the other way around. But that's just me...I don't intend to get into Sanchez's past issues etc...they are what they are...but, again, much like Simms, Sanchez was passing the "eyeball" test during pre-season this year. Geno was not, has not and will not pass the eyeball test this year.

I didn't post any "fantasy stats". Basically all I want to know is what do you see in him? And how do you know the coaching staff preferred him over Geno? Didn't we hear reports that MM loved Geno and was leaning towards him over Sanchez?

I know for a fact the CS preferred him, notice how those MM reports came out later in the "competition"? that was b/c Idzik was forcing the sham competition and wanted Geno to start.

it's all fantasy b/c all that matters are wins and losses and he won more than he lost and won in postseason more than any QB in Jets history. That is all I care about.

You didn't watch the same pre-season I did. The bad turnovers were still there and he was making questionable decisions on the field as well.

I think our record would be right around where it is now, and we'd still have a quarterback ranked near the bottom of the QB rankings. Who can say, really, if Sanchez would/wouldn't make a play here or there to win/lose us another game?

Geno doesn't even look like he belongs on an NFL field and doesn't look like he wants to be on an NFL field. To say we wouldn't be better w/ Sanchez is laughable.

Didn’t Mark and the offense go like 11 quarters last season without scoring a TD?
Its like asking what would be better – terrier shit or beagle shit.

Given the state of the line and receiving corp, I think it's likely Sanchez would be a total wreck at this point in the season and folks would be clamoring for Geno to be put in.

It is almost impossible for someone to have played worse so you would have to say yes.

So far there are 21 voters who voted "No (< 5-6)", for those individuals you need to wake up and stop dreaming. If you think Sanchez ever had a five game stretch this bad you need a dose of reality. Just 1 TD to 10 Ints, plus the fumbles and the back peddling sacks. This is madness!

Sanchez's last five games of last season, he had 2 touchdowns, 9 INT's, and killed us with some costly fumbles. Try again, slappy.

With that team? The 2012 campaign was a miracle the Jets won 6 games.

People keep focusing on 2012 as the Sanchez sucks and must go but look what the Jets did talent wise, injury wise, coaching wise -- the only player they brought in was Tebow. They lost Burress and LT, Holmes hurt, HIll a rookie was hurt, Keller played like 2 games, and Sporano was calling plays. It was a mess.

This year the team is rushing for 130 ypg, better weapons catching the ball and running the ball, a netter defensive front 7. This team only needed an avg QB to win 10 games this season.

We'd probably be in a better place but that doesn't mean Sanchez is the right guy for the job. He isnt.

I think we'd be better with Taco right now. That's how bad Geno has played. I would like neither moving forward, although it is early with Geno and he's surrounded by trash.
