i said the raiders. i hate the home opener being adivision game or the return of whoever. just let it be the home opener. plenty of time for the grudge matches and juicy story lines later
This past year?? I said Oakland too, but voted for Denver. It's my best friend's team, so that would be exciting to talk about for a few months. Otherwise, I hope they go to Green Bay before November.
I know, just some of my cynicism and sarcasm of the Jets kicking in. Yeah GB before the tundra gets frozen is always better.
Bills, for some reason we've been stomping them in the series home game recently, especially in the 2012 season opener (48-28, and that score is closer than it felt)
The game will probably be in primetime, the Jets have a lot of credibility right now, and the schedule makers like to put the Jets-Patriots early just in case the Jets crash and burn. Sunday Night football week 2? possibly
I'd prefer to open the season against the Pats. They tend to start out slow and give off this feeling that the division is up for grabs. Then they'll end the season winning something like 9 of their last 10 and have a solid shot at #1 playoff seed in week 16.
I hope its Patriots week 1 at home with the final score: Jets: 27 Patriots: 17 this is with Brady going for a game winning drive with just under 2 minutes left and Milliner getting a pick six to seal the Jets win (I can dream)
Well since out away record last year SUCKED we need to win more of them this year if we are going to have a chance at all. BUT if I had to choose a Home Opener I would pick the Pats and see if the changes made in the off season helped and with a WIN set the stage for better things ahead. But who will be our starting QB come the first game.?????
Raiders. I hate it when we go there at the end of the season or even worse after a bye, it never seems to go well.
Patriots... Why not play the class of the division first to see how successful the Jets were in this offseason. See if personnel wise they made strides to compete for the division title.
I'd like to see us play the Fins. A tough but very winnable game against a division rival. A division win here would be a great way to set a positive tone for the season, and evaluate where we stand.
