Jets sign offensive lineman Dakota Dozier Posted by Mike Wilkening on May 14, 2014, 3:00 PM EDT AP The Jets have signed yet another draft pick. The club said Wednesday it had reached a deal with offensive lineman Dakota Dozier, a fourth-round selection from Furman. The Jets are listing Dozier (6-4, 313) at guard, though he has collegiate experience at tackle, too. “He has some position flexibility, which is attractive about Dakota,” Jets G.M. John Idzik said after the draft, according to the club. Dozier is the second Jets draft pick to sign. Earlier Wednesday, the club announced an agreement with outside linebacker Trevor Reilly, a seventh-round pick from Utah. LOVE THIS KIDS Name,, Dakota Bull Dozier
Jets sign seventh-rounder Trevor Reilly Posted by Josh Alper on May 14, 2014, 2:10 PM EDT AP The Jets have started signing their draft picks. The team announced Wednesday that they have agreed on a contract with seventh-round pickTrevor Reilly. Reilly was the 235th overall pick of the draft and, like all rookies drafted after the first round, he signed a four-year deal. Reilly had 20 sacks and eight forced fumbles in 32 starts at Utah, but some of his success as a pass rusher may have come because he was more mature than the players on the other side of the line. Reilly went on a two-year mission for the Church of Latter Day Saints and is already 26 years old, so it remains to be seen how he’ll fare against players closer in age. Reilly was the last of 12 Jets picks during the draft, leaving the team with plenty of other rookies to sign in the near future.
He is Rookie,, But I don't see him playing his first year as a Rookie. This is the pick that can really change our offense this season.
Same as Sione Pouha - same college too if my recall is correct. He will do fine albeit his career may be a little shorter.
Jets sign Jeremiah George Posted by Josh Alper on May 15, 2014, 11:39 AM EDT Getty Images The Jets left the draft with 12 new members of the team, leaving them with more work than most teams when it comes to getting their rookies under contract. They may pale in comparison to the Bears, who are already done signing their picks, but they are making good progress all the same. Aaron Wilson of theBaltimore Sun reports that linebacker Jeremiah George has agreed to his four-year rookie contract. George led the Big 12 in tackles in his final season at Iowa State, which got him drafted in the fifth round by the Jets even though he’s a bit undersized for an NFL inside linebacker at 5-11 and 234 pounds. His speed and energy could prove especially useful on special teams while he tries to carve out a spot on defense behind projected starters David Harris and DeMario Davis. The Jets signed linebacker Trevor Reilly and offensive lineman Dakota Dozieron Wednesday to get cracking on the dozen signings they had to make after wrapping up the draft.

This is the type of LB I predicted Idzik/Rex could go for. With the addition of Sheldon up front, no one runs up the middle on us so our IMLB does not have to be a 260+ pound run stuffing brute. He can be a bit leaner and faster in coverage, which is EXACTLY what we needed.
If you're going to post a few pictures from the Jets website, you might as well post all of them, or show where you got them. I'll save the hassle. http://www.newyorkjets.com/photos/index.html Also, since the new agreement, rookie signings aren't that big of a deal imo. They all get done now.
They don't all get done before training camp starts. It wasn't until July 30th that the last 1st rounder got signed in 2013. Milliner didn't get signed until halfway through the first day of Jets camp if I recall correctly.
Fair enough, I stand corrected. I just mean you don't see the lengthy hold-outs that we've seen in the past.
He's a great prospect to grab in the 5th. Same as Trevor Reilly in the 7th. Both guys are mildly undersized, and may not pan out as anything more than backups, but both have starting potential because of the way we've built our team. We have drafted 1st round talent at both DE positions, found a beast of a UDFA for NT, taken a 1st round OLB (not his original position I know, but you know what I mean), a highly athletic project at ILB who looks to be panning out, a 1st round safety and a first round CB, that's just a boatload of talent infused to the defensive side of the ball. If we can get 2 slightly undersized players (George and Reilly) to be solid starters among a sea of top tier talent, we just had one of the best drafts we've had ever. It's too early to anoint it that, but it makes sense that he'd try to use later round picks as fliers on smart football players who could excel among a ton of talent. Obviously Calvin Pace and David Harris are the vet starters right now, but I think George and Reilly might be destined for more than special teams before the end of their rookie deals.
