Give him same deal as Patterson.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. He had a down year and an injury history (but much less so than Patterson).

Here are PFF's grades of him each year. Worth it IMO; instantly our 2nd best corner.

Injuries are injuries, but he had a down year in a defense that's extremely similar to ours. Expecting him to all of a sudden be able to play press man after that shitty season under Sutton is a pipe dream.

Does anyone know if Dexter McDougle has been signed yet? I hear a lot of reports of how he's looking good in OTAs, but I haven't seen anything on his contract status.

He hasn't, I read an article a couple of days ago that confirmed this, I was wondering if his signing just hadn't been reported. Only player left. Not sure what the hold up is but there's still a month and a half til camp starts.

I have a lot of respect for Flowers and think it would be great to add him. I hope they can get it done.

The Jets have already reached out to Brandon Flowers, per local source. Chiefs - Jets tried to work out a trade in May but Idzik said no.

Thanks for the info. ... My theory is, given that we don't have a sure thing to start opposite Milliner, and that McDougle was our highest drafted CB, his agent feels like he has all the leverage in the world, so he's holding out for significantly more money than your typical 3rd round pick.

Get Chris Houston or Brandon Flowers. Let's shore up the secondary AND offer McDougie less.

Highly doubtful. 1)The guy was considered a reach by most accounts and 2)given his senior year is probably grateful for the opportunity and most importantly 3) there is a rookie pay scale. If a third round rookie is holding out for money than he'll be an instant team and fan hated player which would not jive with the character reports everyone has read.

There's really nothing they can do in terms of money, by the third round salaries are pretty much set by the rookie wage scale. I'm thinking it has to do with playing incentives.

It's an article on a badly written blog site based on a tweet by a sports groupie in Florida.
