Have the Jets announced training camp dates at Cortland yet?

Last year was fun except I couldn't figure out how to post pix on TGG - hoping to be able to figure that out when we go up this year.

    Thanks Jay and Byz.

One thing I know is, should any petition-carrying Michael Vick protestors start trouble at the field, I'll bite 'em on the leg....if they're co-eds??...I'll bite 'em square in the ass.o_O

  11. I wish the Jets/SNY would wise up & just air the damn Mini-camp.The same goes for portions of TC.

Anyone who has ever gone to one of these things & follows what the media reports on twitter, knows that they never report the good stuff that the real fans actually care about. Half the time these "drops" or "big catches" they seem to fixate on come on drills that are more about play installation or route running technique.Same goes for the QB throws/ints.

They always use the excuse of no pads as a way to avoid evaluating the lines. But it's funny...I've seen plenty of "shells only" practices & had no problem identifying which bigs looked good & who was struggling. When they do mention a DL it's b/c of some fluke like an Int or something( see the UDFA tweet from earlier today). C'mon guys..you get paid to watch this team. You can't tell if the OL is anchoring in pass pro or if the DL is getting movement??

I think the reason you do not air the mini-camp is to prevent that kind of analysis from the fans. I'm sure the last thing the players want is having their screw ups aired on TV for what is supposed to be a time to work on their play.

I think this post mischaracterizes a lot of us who are really down on Hill. I can't know about everyone else but we're all Jets fans and personally I'd love nothing more than to see Hill be great this year because that's what helps the Jets most.

I highly doubt that happens but that's another story. Best WR on day one of mini-camp. Great. Maybe we can bring in David Clowney too?

I didn't mean to imply anything about those down on Hill. Just that it's a little bit of good news. I know it doesn't mean much but it's better than hearing he's been struggling with drops.

Do you really have to keep slandering Stephen Hill? I mean this is like the 3rd insult you thrown at him in this thread when he's been the best receiver in camp thus far. I mean even a picture of him standing there you have to insult him. Take a chill pill. Even when he's looking good, people STILL insult him. This is the mentality I don't understand about many Jets fans. Can't you ever just be excited and enjoy things as they play out? Why is everything always destined for failure. Yeah you "Kyle Wilson is a bust and will never be good" people know exactly what I'm talking about.

I like what I'm hearing about McDougle so far. I think this guy will end up being a real gem.

He looks good in OTA's and you guys are ready to throw a welcome back party. Give me a break.. I look good in OTA's. I would love for him to come in and prove me wrong, but he has looked good every off-season to date and when the season rolls around goes MIA.

So pardon me if I don't share the same enthusiasm as most around here regarding Stephen Hill.

Welcome party? He never went anywhere. I don't remember anybody ever saying Hill was the best mini camp or training camp WR, before this year, btw.

It's just stupid to hurl insults his way constantly because he had a lot of drops in his rookie year. It's 2014 now. Let's see what he can do now that he's already had a year to learn the system. 3rd year is typical break out year for WRs. I don't understand why people don't have any patience and want every guy to contribute right away or they "are busts that will never amount to anything". Give the kid a chance. I dunno, it's just a piss poor mentality.

Slander is making false statements that are damaging to a person's reputation.

So far, having strong OTAs and minicamps while not being a good receiver when it counts IS Stephen Hill's reputation.

Again, "slander" is defamation in the spoken form (or gesture), an "oral publication", as it were.

Libel is defamation in the written form. Like on one of the internetz.

I'm not actually a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
