This is true. Please refer to TGG Rule #307.

TGG Rule #309: Only Abyzmul or his affiliates can make even-numbered rules. There are no exception.

    You absolutely can.

If you prorate someone's stats and project them out over 9 years.

    I read that here.

Prorating is great! If we prorate Geno's career he'll be an above avg QB in 27.341 years. CANT WAIT!!!

    Two words:

    Frank Reich.

He's in the Prorated Hall of Fame.

I see stokes is still upset b/c his weak argument got torn to shreds. tell me again how a guy w/ more talent around him in a weaker era that never won a single playoff game can be better than the franchise leader in playoff wins w/ less talent around him in a tougher era?

Keep grasping at meaningless points, it impresses those that don't understand.

Champ, you are a wagon jumper of the worst sort. You're like the geek who's never even watched FB who shows up to work in a team jersey the day AFTER a SB win. Life is a journey to be enjoyed along the way. It's the same with being a sports fan.

If you can't / refuse / incapable of enjoying your teams little successes....if you're completely / utterly / determined to pull every thread into the mire b/c we haven't won the big one in a long time, then there's nothing about you that's a fan. You're just waiting for the day you can jump on the wagon.

If you're so senile and jaded that you can't rejoice in a thrilling 4th qtr comeback or any other moment of greatness then I feel sorry for you.

Please, turn off your computer, change your depends, eat a spot of porridge, and join a bridge club in the rec center. I PROMISE I will hand deliver to the nursing home a Jets jersey of any player of your choice the SECOND the Jets win it all. I'll even save you a seat on the Green Bus right next to me.

I get it. Durability counts when it supports your position, but longevity doesn't count when it doesn't support your position. So we downgrade some Jets because they had some injuries, but we glorify those whose careers as Jets were basically voluntarily cut short because of money, greed, selfishness, and ego.

If we are willing to accept short careers, Byrd makes your post 70s team as a DT over Ferguson with ease, even though he played only four seasons.

longevity means nothing when it comes w/ mediocrity.

I wouldn't have a problem w/ Byrd over ferguson even though dennis basically played just 3 seasons.

Thank you for telling me my opinions though. I appreciate it. Next time please read the title

"Alltime Jets - In your opinion"

I posted MY opinion. My opinion happens to be more informed than most but it still just MY opinion. Now get back to worshipping Joe, this negativity towards me all comes from my honest opinions on Joe.

Why Hudson over Dearth? Dearth was the LS for the best span of STs units this team has ever seen and almost never had a miscue.

A dearth of miscues, if you will.

we have had great long snappers since Hudson, I could have picked any of them. I don't recall a bad snap at any point under Husdon, as great as Dearth was I can remember a huge botched snap in 2001 that was saved by Tom Tupa in that week 17 game at Oakland that got us to the playoffs.

Everybody in the NFL has great long snappers. They practice it so much they better be great. Especially if they waste a roster spot on a guy only for that job - he better be perfect or he should be on the street if that's the only thing he can do. It's very overrated, the long snapper "position".

I guess this is a side rant but I don't understand why teams continue to waste a roster spot on that. You have a team full of world class athletes and countless hours to practice, just teach a guy who actually plays a position to long snap as well. It's not a specialty skill like kicker or punter, it's repetition.

that's not true, we see bad snaps all the time and we saw it a lot w/ our team pre John Hudson.

Take a Valium and calm down. I was just trying to have a discussion like 99% of the posts on this board. No need to throw a hissy fit. As for. Namath, I didn't bring up once. I'm not sure why you felt the need to. It's a double standard with you all the time. You can attack others , argue with others, and proclaim your superior football knowledge. But when you are challenged, you resort to personal attacks and put downs. I just pointed out that you discount players for injuries, but not for leaving the Jets entirely. It is somewhat inconsistent.

you must have me confused w/ someone else, I couldn't be more calm. you are the one who is flustered b/c I dared to speak the truth about your childhood hero.

You aren't fooling anyone, you get pissy w/ me all the time b/c of my comments on Namath. keep pretending though.

I don't need to be consistent, I judge on a case by case basis. every situation is different.
