Before i even watch, based on the first comment, i assume this video is Rex talking up how much geno has improved, and how he likes all of our options at every position.
I hate stupid interviews like this. Will Geno be a pro bowl QB? Will you guys go to the playoffs? What is Rex supposed to say? No, we aren't that good. No Geno has shown hardly any improvement. Seriously, why even bother asking such stupid fucking questions. It's just like when ESPN has an active player on TV in the studio, and they ask something stupid like "Is the defense going to be better this year?" What's the guy going to do? It could be Morris Claiborne, and he would still say yeah the D has really made some improvements, and the unit is really gelling, or some other lie like that. Honestly, you know what the guy is going to say. So why ask the questions? It's going to be some prepared cheesy statement about how everything is so much better than the last season, or how much they've learned. Just once I want a guy to go on tv and say something negative, or pessimistic.
Speaking of stupid interviews, I just saw an NFL Network headline that said "Rob Gronkowski plans to play injury free season". Wow.
HaHa. That's exactly what I'm talking about. I get that it's the off-season. (We're almost thru!) That doesn't give the excuse to just create headlines out of nothing. Of course Gronk plans on not getting hurt again. Thanks for another example. It would be great for him to say "I'm going to go easy for the first few weeks of the year, to protect myself from injury, just in case I might get hurt again."
Here is another. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...ug-whaley-bills-planning-to-be-a-playoff-team The Bills GM "plans on making the playoffs." I can only imagine that some "reporter" asked him if the team will make the playoffs, prompting him to say they plan on making it. It really baffles me as to why these so called "headlines" even exist. Do other countries have the same headlines with their respective sports? I wonder.
Im in that boat, im not buying into Geno until I actually see him get it done. (As in; get to the playoffs, win playoff games, take over games)
The end was old Rex. Saying they don't have best QB or WR or Coach, but together they will win. I hope he is right.
I dont think Geno "figured out how to win"..he won games early on. Specifically against Buffalo and in Atlanta. Its that type of QB that if we get on a regular basis we will be a playoff team. Id like to hear Rex say what we all say. We didnt have the offensive personnel last season to put Geno in a very good position to succeed. 3rd and 4th string WR's were forced to play 2nd string snaps. It was patchwork at WR and TE. Few QB's can do well with that. And even fewer rookie QB's can.
Geno figured out how to win at the end of the season, he didn't turn the ball over, more like, the coaching staff limited Geno losing the game, so IE the coaching staff figured out how to win
The 'old Rex' talked up Sanchez when he was stinking out the joint. Him talking up Geno has nothing to do with new Rex or old Rex.
Fat Rexy was a sexy beast! This is just like the Super Bowl claims. People lost their minds. The whole time I'm thinking to myself, isn't that why they play the game (HELLO!?) Yet, people were freaking out... Interviews are mostly stupid. Allow me to brief everyone on the year ahead, this way its not a surprise: After a loss- This is my fault, the buck stops here. We didn't execute. Im focusing on next week. We have to look at the film. Got to give them credit, they are a good team. After a win- I'm so proud of X. Y did a great job. Z is getting better. We're focusing on next week. We'll look at the film to see how we can improve. Give them credit, they are a great team.
