You don't think Kraft would like a top NFL dominating defense to go along with his Golden Boy? eh, you could be right.
Good job counting. Geno believes with hard work he can become a top 5 QB in time. Good. That sounds about right. That was probably the least brash talking arrogant comment coming from Jets camp
Plus what gets me is BB is this defensive genius but how long has it been since he had a good D. He knows if not for Brady he wouldn't be a HC in this league. That why he said he wants to win a SB when Brady retires.
I think he has developed into a top HC and I do love his approach but he never gets that chance if Brady doesn't rescue his career
I agree, but my point he doesn't have good D anymore and haven't for a while now but that his specialty.
Woody wouldn't hire Belichick after the "HC of the NYJ" cocktail napkin resignation letter. That bridge isn't just burned, it's nuked. And Kraft would hire Giselle to coach the Patriots before he hired Ryan. Personally I like Rex, but there's zero chance the Krafts would hand the keys over to him. Zero. So... moot and moot.
OK massah. I'll just sit here and wait for yet another inevitable Super Bowl championship. According to the Jets, anyway.
You don't have to be silent - "I believe we can be one of the best defenses in the league" shows confidence without talking pure shit. Saying "we're the best in the league" before a down has been played is just assinine. But par for the course for the Rex Ryan era.
I get that point, but that's not firing anyone up. These are lunatics we are taking about here. Guys who's sole job is to stop an offense by physically dominating them. Of course they are gonna talk shit. And they should. Defense isn't a classy part of the game.
I have to respectfully disagree. I think you do motiviate by saying "we CAN be the best" in that its implied that if everyone plays hard and up to potential that good things will happen, and that should motivate players. But saying "we ARE the best"? In JULY? Come on.
I'm enjoying the trash talk, and I hope they keep doing it. It's definitely going to escalate during the season, and it will make games more exciting when they approach. I don't get people that hate it, it's like they are afraid of being embarrassed. Fuck that. If they don't live up to their talk, then they didn't back it up. That's what the players taking need to be embarrassed about. Any fan that gets embarrassed needs to stop attaching their self worth to a football team. Talk shit, motherfucking Jets. Talk as much shit as you want.
I'm down with all the trash talking. Maybe it's just the way the media covers the team, but I feel like the jets are always known as a team that talks a lot of shit. Even before Rex got here. I love how it makes the jets one of the most hated teams among fans of other teams because it makes it all the sweeter when we win big games.
It occurs to me, if I tell colleagues they are already the best, do they have the same incentive to work harder as if I said with work we could be the best? Seems the latter is the better motivator.
Thank God - because you guys have Revis, Chandler Jones and Wilfork. Rex would have a field-day with that defense.
