it may be a coincidence but since Idzik took over we have had a ton of guys in trouble w/ the law where we rarely had any before him.
More? Yes. But not a ton. Goodson was the only real bad incident I can think of since Idzik came aboard. I guess Winslows was probably the weirdest. Braylon was the only arrest we had under rex pre Idzik. since 2000 we have been one of the least arrested teams and the arrests have almost doubled. I think we had 7 or 8 since 2000 pre Idzik and now we are up to 13.

The former Tampa Bay DB (I've blanked on his name) with the guns in the parking lot wasn't arrested? If not, it was because of the era. If it had happened now, he would be arrested. I think a lot of stuff that athletes used to do was swept under the carpet, ignored because they were celebrities. That's not happening any more, plus society seems to be degenerating and a faster pace, so I'm not sure that it's just Idzik's turning a blind eye to players' character (or lack thereof).
If the allegations against Enunwa are true, then he's really stupid, especially after what happened the 49er within the past week.

I forgot about those two guys. Idzik made them walk the plank early on. I'm really having some issues with how Idzik grades his personnel aquisitions. He really needs to re-examine his decision making process before we sign a really big mistake that will bite us in the ass one day.
What's the worst that can happen? Arron Hernandez has already set the bar. C'mon guys it's impossible to read the true inner person of any individual, unless the jets are going to include wash boarding and pulling out fingernails during their interview with players they have an interest in. I don't think 5 arrests in 2 years is an indictment of a lack of background investigation for players, but if the current trend continues then you can't say we didn't see it coming. Right now it's just something to be a bit concerned about, but if the Jets turn into the new Bengals in terms of behavior cases and arrests, the blame falls at the foot of one man only.
