The chargers injury list is extensive. They have already ruled out 7 guys. And a few more are injured but they have to keep them active or cut them to sign healthy bodies and it's too late to do that this week. That means their scrubs are playing. 2nd string RG. 3rd string center. 3rd and 4th string rb. 4th and 5th string ILB. Their best pass rushers are liuget, Ingram, freeney and the rookie attouchu. 3 if those 4 aren't playing and the other one may not either. Their number 2 corner is out and their nickel cb the first round pick Verett is hurt. Basically don't throw to brandon flowers who missed a game 2 weeks ago and run at will and the jets o can easily move up and down the field. Attack the middle when the chargers are on offense. Jets win big. 34-10.
The exact question Chargers fans were asking when they missed the playoffs for 3 straight years with Rivers as their QB. 2010-2012.
We also happen to be 0-3 against those 3 elite passing offenses. And defensive rankings aren't going to mean a thing if this QB doesn't stop turning the football over...
No really due to the opposing teams QBs... ok Rodgers shredded us up but the other two were ehhhh.... plus cutler SHOULD have thrown at least 2 picks but stephen hill left his mark on many of our players hands when they dapped him as he was cut.
Cutler threw 2 TD's on one drive to the red zone. He threw one TD pass that was called back on a hands-to-the-face penalty, they got backed up and Cutler threw another one. Geno had 6 trips to the red zone in the same game and he threw one TD. Both Cutler and Stafford were without either of their best WR's even close to 100%. A Jeffrey went over 100 and Golden Tate looked like the second coming of Jordy Nelson. If Brandon Marshall and Megatron were close to healthy both games would've been really ugly...
Daniel Snyder announced today the Washington Redskins will drop the offensive portion of their team name. Starting Monday night they will be called simple "The Redskins".
I'm actually supporting the OP on this one and hoping like hell that the Jets pull a monumental upset. It will be interesting to read the responses from the usual Wizards of negativity that have once again manage to crap all over a positive thread. How refreshing. For three consecutive games we beat ourselves with stupid mistakes, so forgive me if I don't quite see the tremendous advantage that the Chargers pose. Rivers is very good but it's no Rodgers, so if for once the Jets figure out a way as a team not to give the freaking game away anything is possible. Now, that will require for our OL to actually block and the CS to actually coach this one....but that should not be that much to ask.
I mean Jay Cutler isn't a bum of course he's gonna throw TDs but he could've easily had 3 turnovers. They didn't have their WR's we didnt have our CB... evens out.. i guess.. difference is they actually played. Tate and Nelson are both very solid players lined up with a low depth chart corner or a safety, what you expect? Point is... they didn't really shred us like i thought they would. If we catch our picks instead of dropping em all we would be talking about how good we played against them.
The difference is, our CBs even when healthy suck and Marshall when healthy is a difference maker. We all saw how he even did good against a healthy Revis years back. A healthy Marshall with Jeffrey would be easy pickins against this secondary. The Jets have been very fortunate the past 2 weeks with star receivers being out and still managed to lose both games.
