Only Mickey Mouse organizations like the NYJs hire clowns like Idzik & RR. Boy oh boy did the Ravens get it right when they did hire RR as there HC

Dude, I was here for Lou Holtz. College fight songs in the pros! But at least Holtz tried to exert somekind of control over the team, unlike our current HC

If they wanted Vick to take the season seriously they should have given him a fair chance to win the starting job

As much as it should go on Rex, it should go on Martin Sylvester Morningwhigs

As much as I think a pro like Vick should have been ready, anyway, this point is the real world talking. If I was in Vick's shoes, I would think the Jets just wanted to pay me to stand on the sidelines and provide the very thin veneer of an appearance that Smith "won" the starting job over him. Which is frankly a rather insulting assertion.

Yes, he should be ready. But there is the little matter of planning and motivation.

So I guess every other backup sitting behind a bonafide starter in the league has an excuse to be unprepared as well? Do QB injuries not happen? Vick has no excuse for being unprepared. Blame it on Rex for not running a tight enough ship but don't blame it on not giving Vick a shot at the top spot because plenty of backups are in the same boat

    This.

Backups have to be ready, regardless of how the preseason competition for starter turned out. Vick should be more prepared than any other backup QB due to Geno's struggling. Anyone who can defend Vick on this matter has some questionable motives.

Exactly. And we can go back to the offseason when Vick admitted there was no competition so it isn't like he was blindsided by not having a shot at it. He knew it all along. Thus he has no excuse for not being prepared, especially when the guy in front of you is playing poorly

Kotite was worse than Lou Holtz. Holtz went 3-10. Kotite, 4-28.

Actually this one goes on Vick, period. No coach should have to tell a freaking QB to be ready for a game.

If the coach has any pulse with his side of the football, he knows which guys are prepared for war and which are not. Martin shit the bed, badly, on Sunday. 68yds haha Martin sucks

The Green Bay game is 100% on Martin too, this bum leaves with Or before Rex.
