Please, please stop. The defense wasn't awful today, but Denver had a lot of false starts, and penalties. The defense still gave up 2 80 yard drives resulting in scores for the Broncos. Which ultimately (and Geno missing guys left and right and our run game not being good, Walt Powell and Marty being dumb) cost us the game..
oh goodie. maybe when I grow up and become an adult I can be just like barcs and suck Rex's dick no matter what!
Lol man, we are glad to have you here. Your point is definitely valid that there are guys that teams hope they don't have to play, but I assume each and every guy on an NFL roster can play in a game. Thousands of dudes get cut every year so each team has 53. So, I think its fair to say Simms can play in the NFL. So that leads to initial question - why not give him a chance? What is the downside?
What makes me sick is the defensive game plan he used today could have been used every week instead of blitzing 6-8 players every other down and getting burned. The people who think this is all Rexs fault clearly just dont get it,this is bigger then just Rex I don't get why people don't see that.
He doesn't make the offsensive gameplan? He's a defensive head coach, why would he fuck with the offense. He'd just mess it up.
It was a good game plan. But worst performance? I'm not going to go back and look at all the games but the guy still threw 3 TD passes and zero picks. He didn't exactly look bad out there. But I do agree that Rex on defense called a very good game
That game plan wouldn't work every week. We would get ran on all day. Again, our scheme involves deception. Many of our blitzes are not blitzes. (Which is why many fans think our blitzes "never get home". Those blitzes are sometimes disguised 3 man rushes)
don't preach, it's unbecoming. there comes a point where a coach has brought a team as far as he can. this team is bottoming out, when that happens it is time to make a change.
A winning record for a coach of the same team over 5 seasons is actually pretty impressive. The teams with head coaches with a winning record over at least 5 seasons are: Patriots Jets Bengals Steelers Ravens Falcons Packers Saints Giants Andy Reid also does but he is not with the team that he did it with. A winning record as a head coach is not as common as you might think, that's right Rex Ryan is in this category with those coaches many consider the best in the league. Bill Belichick Rex Ryan Marvin Lewis Mike Tomlin John Harbaugh Mike Smith Mike McCarthy Sean Payton Tom Coughlin Andy Reid 7 out of the 10 coaches who qualify for this have won Super Bowls. If Rex can pull the season together and finish the season with a winning career record, I'm for giving him another year.
I REPEAT... AS OF TODAY HE IS A .500% COACH. THAT IS NOT WINNING...IT IS %.500 ...and for sure, I do not rank our coach as one of the best in the League. By any stretch of the imagination.
I think Coughlin does crossword puzzles and pulls his pud while solving complex equations for NASA. That and he's won two superbowls in the last decade. he probably can't call a defense like rex though.
Over his first 5 season he has a winning record, and we are less than halfway through this season. I'm clearly saying IF he manages to maintain a winning record by the end of this season he should stay. Try and read.
And just for emphasis, the QB's that helped get these coaches to these records are: Tom Brady Carson Palmer/Andy Dalton Ben Roethlisberger Joe Flacco Matt Ryan Aaron Rodgers Drew Brees Eli Manning Donovan McNabb Rex Ryan has done it with a solid combination of Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith.
