Tennessee has solid receivers, an OK D, and you never know what you're gonna get out of Locker. Tenn. I could see going either way, but Minnesota w/o Peterson?

We never beat Tenn idk why. We can beat Pittsburgh depending which one shows up. The team that lost to the Bucs or the one that beat Carolina. We beat Minn. I think we go 2-4 in the division.

We may not win another game all season!

The Bills are better than the Dolphins, and with Orton much better than the Jets right now. I'd bet on beating the dolphins before the bills.

They will beat Buffalo @ home the week after losing thursday to NE. That will be the start of the classic Buffalo collapse loss dropping them to 4-4 and putting the Jets at 2-6.

The Jets will win just enough late season games for no reason to keep them out of the top of the draft. And they won't win them like a rebuilding team either- ie. finishing strong by experimenting with young players in key roles, experimenting with different schemes, trying to play spoiler and set the tone for next season. They will win them in a coach's desperate attempt to keep his job, playing vets for that reason and winning against other crappy football teams.

I'll give em wins vs. Buffalo, vs. Pittsburgh, vs. Miami on monday night, and @ Minnesota. 5-11 finish. Drafting outside of top 5 and possibly top 10.

Despite everyone saying that the Jets are out of it. Getting to 3-5 by beating NE and Buffalo (two divisional opponents) and the Jets are still in the divisional race. I dont think that it will happen nor do I think New England is not going to get 10 wins.

The no show super bowl argument is the dumbest fuking thing ever. The only player from the broncos who showed up that day was D.Thomas. Decker is a good wr we just need another one opposite him not David fuking nelson

That's true winning thursday in NE and then beating Buffalo will keep them relevant at 3-5 for a little while at 2-0 in the division. Those people that wish to not have to give up on this season prior to Halloween need this.

I personally don't think it will matter much because they still would need some miracles to happen in the second half. I disagree with you - I think New England is getting to 10-6.

4-12, 6-10, the only difference is a shittier draft pick. This is the same argument people on this board were having last year. Talk about Groundhog Day.

Woody Johnson, open your fuckin' eyes and make some changes you idiot!!! Your product is a failure.

The two games I can see us having a puncher's chance of winning are the two ugliest games left on the schedule. I see a death match against Tenn as both Qb's suck. I see another close one against Minn on the road IF TB is playing. Rex does best against rookie Qb's. Between the two games, the Minn game is the most winnable. Other than that, I don't think there's a single "easy" game on our schedule divisional or otherwise.

    Ceiling: 6-10
    Floor: 3-13

If the ceiling is 6-10 (and I agree) than I am rooting for the floor. Call me a bad fan all you want and I would never really root for them to lose on a sunday but 3-13 likely gets them a top 3 draft pick and most importantly a regime change that they desperately need.

That ceiling is very possible though and the question is - Would Woody keep Rex around if they finish 6-10? God I hope not. What about Idzik?

In this instance, the Jets would gain more by hitting the floor than the ceiling via the draft route. Even with Idzik's sketchy draft record, I'd rather him take his shot in a top 5 scenario than mid 1st round. If we're lucky, he's start to rebuild the offense. If its status quo, he'll draft yet another CB and try doing the same thing yet again looking for different results.

Idzik is staying because not only did he save Woody $20mil, but Woody would look like a complete idiot by firing the GM he just hired. Rex OTOH, has the biggest bullseye you'll ever see on a HC's back. His GM has an agenda and it doesn't include him.

I have no confidence in Idzik running the draft, but I think politically you are probably right about Woody and his fear of looking like an idiot. He probably leaves Idzik in place, although I think that just puts off the inevitable, since Idzik is not showing himself to be a keeper.

I just don't think it a given that Woody gets rid of Ryan, either.
