The argument was that he is an accountant and has no football knowledge. I (and others in this thread) have told people like you that he actually does have a football background, as a player, coach, son of a coach, and someone who worked in personnel departments around the league. Not sure what else you want.
Yes he is. It's a wonder he's able to do that having majored in Architectural Design though. Cause your college major clearly dictates what you'll become in the NFL.

idzic was a personnell guy before the cap was implicated. when that happened he started working in the contrcts because he was the smartest guy in the room when it comes to numbers. but he made his bones in personnel first
Every personnel guy has to cut his teeth somewhere. We hope that eventually he'll prove himself for the Jets. The Piolis and Polians of this world already shot their wads.
I think it's fair to point out, having experience at something, doesn't make you good at it. Idzik has moved up the ladder in the NFL, he's had a couple of good picks, but he can't miss on as many as he has, and build through the draft. Some of you make clearing cap room sound difficult. it's not hard to not resign players who make money, then replace them with scrubs. Anyone could balance the books that way. The hard part is finding quality replacements. On that front, John is not doing well.
