Of course it is. In fact, it is definitively the point. After all, you are arguing that the Jets should have kept him.
Given the sad state of affairs, I'd be fine with Simms as 1, Geno as 2, and Vick 3. Maybe something clicks. I'm also OK with Geno starting, and making this look like a 7 game pre-season. Vick provides no value IMO - We need to be looking to the future.
Again, this makes sense if Vick has no chance to be part of the Jets after this season, but given the paucity of quality vet alternatives, and the need to avoid relying on a rookie Qb to start next season, I think playing Vick provides the best value of the alternatives.
Right. Sanchez should have been kept - not for his sake, mind you. Jets are in SAME situation now - they need a QB prospect, and a vet that will take the pounding. This didn't need to happen this late. Sanchez could have been the guy taking the beating for the next QB. It's such a simple concept - that it rather appalls me when people fail to understand this rather easy concept. Anyone but Sanchez, right?
It has nothing to do with failing to understand a concept and has everything to do with disagreeing on the best course of action for both a team and player, respectively. Mark had mentally broken down here. He needed a change of scenery and the Jets needed a breath of fresh air. "It rather appalls me when people fail to understand this rather easy concept."
