Actually Tim didn't refuse to play anywhere with the Jets. He played special teams. I'm not sure if that's how he got his injury later in the season. Some reports say that he wouldn't sign with teams (after getting cut by the Patriots) who wouldn't use him as a Qb. My only point is this: Mark should have been benched much earlier in 2012. In terms of pure Qb talent Mark was ahead of Tim. But in 2012 who gave us our best chance to win. We know in retrospect that Mark didn't because we lost. I would have loved to have seen Tim get a chance to really play. 8 pass attempts the entire season was a joke. When he did get a chance (with Denver) his team won games. Not text book but Ws. So why didn't they play him. That's the $64,000 Question. It could have been simply this: Tony Sparano didn't figure out how to use him in his offense. And never put time into it. When all of the pnndits like Adam Schein refer to that year and Tim Tebow they call it a disaster. If so it wasn't Tebow's fault.
I wonder if Mark wins a couple more playoff games, God forbid a chip, with the Eagles will he get "credit" for those wins or would it be another case of a team carrying him? If that were to happen, he will definitely be the luckiest worst QB that ever played this game.
look, honestly after learning its a MNF game I got a little bit worried because if I remember correctly Sanchez with the JETS didn't tend to play all too well during MNF games, or primetime for that matter. BUT hey, its a new team, he has the spotlight all on him. This is a massive gift he has received and its up to him to show others he has improved and starter material again. All the remaining games are national!!!!!!!! If he fs this up its all on him. No more excuses. For the first time in a long time I can't wait for Monday night.
Mark deserves credit if he plays well in Chip's system and wins games. And Mark deserves the blame if he doesn't. As for excuses how's about no excuses this time one way or the other. But I know that's not going to happen. If he crashes again it'll be somebody's fault.
The thanksgiving game is where its at though, his fumble from 2012 will get replayed a million times heading into that game.
The butt fumble was no big deal it just allowed the idiots to make a issue out of something that wasn't. A lot of offensive linemen bang into running backs or quarterbacks it's not so unusual. So I'll give Mark a pass on the butt portion of this fiasco but not the fumble part. He should have held onto the ball and there lies the problem.
Well it won't be only because of him. But if he's starting Qb for a win he gets some of the credit. But not all of it.
Hi all, Eagles fan here. Just thought I'd share a round-up of recent articles about Mark Sanchez. The forum won't let me post links since I'm new, but I'm sure you can find the full articles.
He looked confident. I'm rooting for him, it couldn't have been easy to go through the beat down by the fans, media and staff and injuries. He's a good guy and seems to have an opportunity at redemption
Such perfect timing by him isnt it? He supported him when he needed a team to return to. Now that hes looking for a cbs role he has started to talk about ex teammates. Maybe what he is saying is correct but the timing of it is a bit odd. Ima usin Tapatalkie.
