If they have a good finish with Vick who's to say they don't just sign him to a two-year deal? BY FAR Vick is already the best QB Rex has had here.
We just beat the hottest team in the league who have a QB who threw 12 tds the last two games and only threw 1 today in garbage time, and people are complaining that we might not get to draft some "Maybe" in the draft
Tanking? We already have 8 losses. When was the last time an 8 win team made the playoffs? Even if we were to win out, our chances of making the playoffs would be so incredibly slim. The season is pretty much over unless a miracle happens. Why would we try to make our draft position worse if the season is just about over?
Lol When you've been unhappy as long as we have been, it seems almost not right not to be angry. Like a pig, the human mind can adapt well to living in shit.
Not to worry folks, I'm pretty sure this win will be cancelled out by some ridiculous loss to the Vikings or Titans later on. Mariota will still be ours.
Maybe the Jets should hire you to do their drafting this year. You sure seem like you are confident in who they should be picking.

Mariota is a really good read-option QB. He makes 70 yard runs going off tackle on the read-option. That's not going to work in the NFL. Winston is talented but a real chance at being a headache for whoever drafts him. One of those guys could be the best QB in this draft but neither of them is Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck good. The Jets may wind up taking either of these guys but neither of them is a lead-pipe cinch at the NFL level.
Vick is not going to lead this team to the playoffs. Plus, what are the chances that he'd even stay healthy for a full season if he somehow proved that he could lead us to the playoffs?
Its so true....you get used to rolling around in shit long enough you devlop a taste for it just ask the guy who made the thread
Are you going to be happy when the season is over? What is winning a few games going to do at this point for the future? Are you too shortsighted to realize this?
Mariota is another Kaepernick ... he'll be awesome for a season, then he'll get hurt on a scramble, the coaching staff will tell him not to run anymore, and he'll fall apart and be nothing more than average, if that (see Vick, see Vince Young, see Cam Newton, see RGIII, even see Mark Sanchez). The only QB in league history that improved after their team forced them to stop running was Steve McNair. Winston is going to flame out of the league in 2 years because he's a head case. You can only Suck For Luck if there's an Andrew Luck available. Otherwise, it's Suck for Tim Couch and you haven't really improved yourself.
When was the last time an 8 win team drafted the top QB prospect? We look like we can string together at least a few wins in the rest of the season. So if we want Mariotta (Winston is a joke, right?) we'd either have to not win any more games, e.g. tank, or trade up for him. I think it is worth it for the team to play well, for our players to develop and get into some sort of rhythm if not for this season then for the next. It would make sense to trade up for Mariotta with a good team in place.
This is crazy. We just won. Enjoy it Plus who is to say Mariota and Winston won't fall like Aaron Rodgers, Geno Smith, Manziel and Bridgewater....
Now we're miserable that we don't get to experience more misery. Can we just be real fans that are happy with a win? Thanks.
