regardless whether we try to sign him or not it makes sense to explore all options.

Not a bad backup QB. The Jets need one of those too, technically they have 2 QBs on the roster now.

Think he'd be smart to go to Baltimore. Don't see it working out here at all.

At least he has a chance to play here..what would he do in Baltimore root for Flacco to tear an ACL?

    Why not?

Build a dominant defense with top draft picks and some free agents, that way you are in almost every game. Have a very good offensive line to keep the chains moving and the other offense on the sideline.

I do not want any part of Mariotta especially if he will not be ready for several years. I don't even want a wide receiver with the 6th pick. I would take an edge rusher or a stud offensive lineman. Maybe a top corner based on the combine.

It's the lesser of all evils. I don't mind McCown on a 1 year deal.See what he's got left in the tank. In fairness to him, noone was winning in Tampa with that shit team.

Well he is old and he stunk in Tampa last year. That is two strikes.

He should go back to Chicago.

He doesn't make us better at all but it is good that were talking to an available QB.

Would get paid the same, no media scrutiny, wouldn't have 300 pound lineman trying to kill him, and he would have a better chance to win a ring.

Yes, I am just happy they are taking to other Qb's. Smith Fans can't be happy about this.

Smith fans, or other assorted people that aren't done with him, should realize that even if he was announced starter today we need more than Simms on roster, clearly.

Who wants a Simms? I want somebody proven to play at an NFL level or someone who would actually have the potential to one day.

Baltimore and Chicago are great spots if he wants to be a backup. Might actually get the chance to start in Chicago if Cutler implodes. Buffalo, NYJ and Houston gives him the best oppurtunity if he wants to start again.
