So take the QB because we need one.

That is the worst reason to take a QB over other picks or talent at other positions.

You take a QB because he is awesome, because he might just be the one that can take your team to the promised land.

Otherwise you are just wasting the pick.

So you want a rookie qb? I don't want the jets to take MARIOTA and Winston will be gone.. Is your thought roll with geno again?

Unless we can get the Titans to cough up Mettenberger I will take Mallet or another veteran to hold the fort until we find the chosen one next year.

I just cant see another team wanting him as much as Philly does. In that offense he can be a stud. Any other offense and its a work in progress. Hard to sell a work in progress as a top 5 pick.

Chip loves the guy. He seems to be running that entire franchise right now and he doesnt seem to care about future picks. So unless a team that is picking ahead of Washington tries to make it sound like they are taking MM I think its pretty likely he drops to us.

He just played better than Foles which isn't suppose to be compliment to Sanchez. I'm not going argue about it. Foles is a system QB. Besides Mariota will be gone by our pick.

Guess there's no reason to discuss it further then with such a factual argument.

Yeah I've pretty much refused to put any stock into any QB.

Foles, Mariota, Smith, Mallet, whoever, they all have about as much chance as one another to be our true answer or have a breakout year in 2015.

anybody who thinks theres an easy fix is hitching their wagon to a dream. everybody's shit stinks, we need to stop being so desperate for a franchise QB that we refuse to admit that.

Doesn't mean we should stay complacent at QB, just that we shouldn't put any on a pedestal. pros and cons everywhere, a great year at QB in 2015 is gravy as fas as I'm concerned.

we need to focus on building out the rest of the team with support for the QB in mind on offense. one might say its pointless to support a QB you aren't sure is THE answer, I say that every QB needs support no matter their quality and the team is no worse off stabilizing its O-line and weapons no matter who is under center. worse comes to worse you've got the next guy an established core to work with, not committing to quality pieces until (likely) a young QB does well without them is cart before horse thinking… and really counterintuitive seeing as how only like 6 guys can do that.

Sanchez interceptions with the eagles weren't all his fault, I believev in that system the qb is gonna throw allot. Foles insane 25/2 season is a fluke..its a hurry up offense with allot of chances for miscommunication. I think sanchez played really well for the Eagles,

I'm not huge on Foles either but if you make the trade down to 20 you take Foles as part of the deal and hope for the best...

.idk if I can take another season watching geno

I want any established qb. I can't watch geno anymore and I don't want MARIOTA .. I don't know if Foles is the anwser, but I'll take my chances if he plays here next year we won't see 5/15 picks with 5 lost fumbles... 6 years of sanchez and geno its been like watching Charlie Brown...ni just want avg. lol I given up on great.

It's possible that Foles is better than the "system" he is in.

We need a QB, there's not a lot of options, if MM isn't who our FO wants, trading for picks and solid QB seems like a good move. We could bundle Harvin into the mix, he would do well in a CK system.

Although, I like Harvin and what he adds to our offence.

Harvin un moveable . No one will eat that contract. He's rarely healthy.. Has 50 catches n 2 years.. He's dynamic and worth a shot at 3/4 mill a year for his special teams, RB/ reciever stuff. At 10.5 mill a year it's a no go .

Foles is better than the QB's we have and the FA QB crop. I'm not enamored with him but I could see why the Jets would do it.

Plus it could be a stopgap for the year then possibly draft a QB in 2016.
