BTW I'm not scared of the Jets taking QB's. The team's previous QB drafts have no bearing or effect whatsoever on future draft picks. I want Winston or MM, if one of them are there the Jets should take them.

It all began in December 2014
Woody Johnson hired Charlie Casserly and Ron Wolf as Advisors
Whatever was whispered in God Father Woody's ear was Revelation

I agree that Idzick helped in setting up, but the question is with the money we had who would have used it better Mac or Idzick? And I think most people are leaning towards Mac. Can't help but wonder if Idzick would have gotten Marshall, or if he would have thrown down money for Revis etc. from the way reports sounded last off season he was a very picky and stubborn negotiator and left many FA feeling disrespected.

Idzick did nothing. It's like saying you're giving credit to M. Donald Grant for being so bad that Frank Cashen was hired.

Well said. Doing nothing was something for that matter, but Idzik was clueless year in and year out.

I got lambasted for suggesting this in my thread late in the season

No debate if you're going to make excuses for Geno.

Teddy and Carr are superior players. I'll stick to my opinion and you stick with Geno.

    "Mmmmkay"? Lol

Because being drafted to the raiders is better?

Oakland is beautiful this time of year if you're quick enough to dodge the bullets

I think we had enough cap space to sign Revis last season.

bridgewater looked pretty pedestrian to me last season. its only year 1 and he can grow but anytime he played a solid defense he pretty much got the wood laid to him and threw into coverage a ton.

I like carr alot better, but even he is far from being some franchise QB. neither of those guys are on par with the lucks and wilsons of the world

He traded revis for a pretty good return

He turned cap hell into cap flexibility

I wouldnt say he did nothing, those are both impactful things. He also drafted richardson and signed decker. I'm not saying he was the savior, but he did alot of good as well during his time. He was only GM for 2 seasons, we really can only speculate what he would have done. this would have been his 3rd offseason, and he likely would have been more active and had the #6 pick to work with.

I think also, he was realistic with what we had on our roster... and knew we probably had to get worse before we got better. isntead of overpaying win now guys last offseason, he used that as a throw away year to get a high pick and further build on our cap room.

im not sure you are quite sure what a red herring is....

and my point is valid. Bridgewater wasnt some cant miss QB propsect you need to go out of your way to draft, especially when you are a couple seasons away and have holes at every level on both sides of the ball. I dont think bridgewater is a savior type like those other QBs i mentoned.
