Jets Apparently signed Stephen Bowen from Washington

I'm not busting on you, but this Twitter news stuff is ridiculous in the way they use it to avoid accountability. So according to Seth Walder's Twitter account, Washington's Twitter account just said they saw Bowen's Instagram account say he was a Jet.

i'm guessing douz isnt coming back. i'd rather hear we picked up a guard

 

The guy is a Long Islander and played his college ball at Hofstra. He probably knows Bowles from his time at Dallas. It seems like we're filling the roster with D guys Bowles knows.

 

Rotoworld believes it too.

Jets agreed to terms with DE Stephen Bowen, formerly of the Redskins.

Limited to eight games by a knee injury last season, Bowen played 243 largely-ineffective snaps. He notched zero sacks, and has only one over the past three seasons. He's primarily a run stopper. One week shy of his 31st birthday, Bowen is a pure depth signing for Gang Green, and won't be assured of a spot on the 53-man roster.

 

I didn't say I didn't believe it but it's pretty sad when you have to use third hand accounts on your Twitter just to try to scoop a story about a backup lineman signing LOL

I think we will forget his name before we commit it to memory.

 

Thought it was funny the account for the Washington Redskins got the news out. Typically teams don't announce when their guys sign elsewhere like that.

 

I've known who he was since the mid 2000s, he used to be a decent starter and now he's a decent (injury riddled) backup. Nothing to write home about and I'd rather have Douzable back but just because you don't know who he is doesn't mean he's not servicable, it just means you don't know who he is for whatever reason.

Looks like he has played more than 9 years..must have been hard years for him.

 

In 9 years he has 12.5 sacks and 98 tackles, if he was a starter at one time his record seems paltry.

 

In 2011 playing with a PCL he had 58 tackles and 6 sacks. I try not to put any stock into those little titles under people's names but if you don't want to keep living up to that "least knowledgeable" title maybe you should at least look up some information about him before you make a post like that
