I'm personally glad to see him get a chance. He really got screwed by Rex and Sparano. The guy even played STs for Rex. And Westoff said he was a good player for him on STs and he likes the guy.

I always disliked Tebow in college (mostly because of the team he played for), but I've been a fan ever since he joined the NFL. To the best of my knowledge, he's the first player in NFL history to get blackballed for being too popular. And what I mean by that is not that team's said "I don't want that guy, he's too popular," but instead that teams said "I don't want that guy as my backup QB, even though he's more talented than our other back up QBs, simply because he's too popular and we'll constantly have to field questions about whether we're going to let him play. And the national media will be around constantly and I don't want to have to deal with it. It's easier to have a less talented player."

Chip should be drug tested after what he's done with that team.

Makes his debut at Gillette on national tv, throws for 350 yrds and 3 tds in a game in which brady breaks his neck and the pats lose 45-3. Tebow finally convinces all jets fans that there is a god

You're right. One thing is certain. There are not 90 QB's that are better than Tebow. He deserves to be in the NFL.

or….maybe its because he's not that good. after all his biggest accolades at the pro level was due to a set of circumstances that'd be ill-advised to replicate as an actual consistent offensive identity.

physical tools be damned he struggles with working within a conventional offense, his reads and accuracy is generally subpar, and theres lower round rookies that come out every year with cleaner slates and more potential in these areas that teams would rather have riding the bench in lieu of trying to capturing lightning in a bottle twice with Tebow.

In short nobody feels like they can rely on the guy to be a QB on a fundamental level. that he's controversial means much less in the face of this very fact.

though I guess Kelly is just mad enough to give him a shot in his QB friendly O for none of that to matter…crazy SOB must really not like Barkely.

this is gonna be the most covered third string competition in NFL history.

Sanchez must be thrilled,Its the best place Tebow can be though I'm sure Chip will find a way to utilize his skills in some fashion or another

Chip is dead set on proving he can turn lead to gold. Over/under on his return to college football, 2 seasons?
