I think they want to try and build his confidence - all off season Geno has heard how the new regime were not invested in him and were looking to replace him. A show of support at the outset will allow Gailey focus on mechanics and seeing if the most pro ready & physically gifted QB on the roster can start to produce now he has weapons aplenty. He is the starting QB until Fitz or someone else passes him - if he works out GREAT if not replace during training camp

I said this in other thread but I think it's a statement in support of Mo. I think Richardson said last year during season that Mo deserved to be paid if I recall.
So now he's a DL, part time RB, part time HC (calling timeouts), part time GM (advising who should be resigned), part time agent (negotiating for a player to be paid by holding out)??? Maybe he ought to, idk, fucking quit that extra bullshit???!
