Torn achilles. I guess he'll clear waivers and then be placed on IR (similar to Sudfeld), which I'm ok with. Want to see him back next year.

Agreed. Very tough break for a guy who gave his all last year.

Much respect for AA. He really did give it his all no matter what role he was thrown into. He's a true Jet. Hope he recovers well and will be able to come back from this soon.

As for this new CB we signed, any info on the guy?

Does it matter? He won't make the team. We're stacked with depth at CB.

6'1 - 190 pounds, Syracuse. Signed with the Colts last year but got waived again. Seems like Bowles might give him a shot to replace Allen as the 4th safety. Doubt he plans on lining him up at CB, we're already stacked there. Watched some of his highlights. Built similar to AA, same type of versatility I'd guess. Very physical, loves to hit.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I was gonna bust on Stokes a little bit and say "Oh NO, not another 'Cuse player, but guess I'll let it go."

Probably too big to play corner IMO. He looks like a safety. Not sure about his 40 yard dash but I doubt it's faster than 4.5.

Hah. Yeah, that other guy lasted 3 days I think before he got cut again. Hopefully this one does better. :D

Interesting fact: He's close with Durell Eskridge (former Syracuse safety as well) so I guess Durell hooked him up. Ayyyy.

AA played with a lot of heart sucks that he has to go through this.

Can he be picked by someone else and placed on THEIR IR? How does this work?
Sorry for ignorance, I'm sure it's a dumb question :)

That's actually a pretty good question, I had to look it up. Short answer: No.

The Patriots don't know nothing about being Gentlemen apparently.

Is this how it works? Can't simply be placed on IR?

Not until the season begins. Priot to that the player has to clear waiver first. I think this is a rule to make sure teams don't stash their talents who aren't injured on IR.
