it's a tough break for Allen.... on the bright side for him tho, it seems he'll still get a decent pay for the year (which is deserved), and it's encouraging to see how quickly his teammate Milliner was able to rebound from this injury. nothing he can do but focus on recovering, and lean on whatever resources the Jets can provide. from the Jets perspective, it's time for Pryor to really step up. Miles is very good depth too, and contributes well on special teams. we should be ok at the position.
Thanks. I was actually thinking specifically about P*ts. So it seems they can pick AA, declare him on active roster and then move to IR in Sept. I can see BB doing it to piss off Jets and try to pick AA's brain if nothing else.
Ah man, that's terrible. Achilles is the worst injury to try to recover from. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/fantas...095586/history-not-kind-for-ruptured-achilles http://lermagazine.com/article/return-to-football-after-achilles-tendon-rupture
Honestly we don't want too many of them. Give me all the Alabama or Ohio State guys you want. Although I am pretty psyched to see if Eskridge can make this team. He was really really good his soph year but plateaued his junior year. _
he got any range to play deep? my guess is they would start him simple, up on the line in the mold of where Pryor is and Allen would have been. would be great if he had long term potential to play deep, and maybe land on PS..
He is a big physical kid and a ball hawk. Plays a great deep centerfield and he can pop people, he's a good tackler. He was really good at Syracuse. Not sure how he'll translate to the NFL, whether he has the anticipation. I love his physical size and skills, but this is a big step up. If he came out after his soph year he's easy a 4th round pick. He fell off junior year, should have stayed this year to get himself back to a draft able player. Could be a diamond in the rough, but I see him more as a practice squader at this point. _
sounds like a guy you let work at both Safety positions, let him marinate and grow on the PS, and see in time where he better fits (or where a need arises).. it's good to have guys like that developing. i'm anxious to see what Miles can do now.. he's had that couple of years on and off the PS, and has shown lots of physicality on ST. ST is a great way for Safeties to grow in confidence, while adjusting to the speed and hitting of the game. i think Miles is ready for the 53... and to start contributing more. Eskridge can hopefully follow a similar path.
that's how a properly inflated football comes out of Br*dy's hand.. terrible pass.....but big time cash in by Allen. his blocked Punt and TD against Oak was my second favorite Allen moment.
Great play. Changed the game. Jets went on to win in OT. Thanks AA! Hopefully we will see you back on the football field sometime in 2016.
There's no such thing as a dumb question. With the way the rules change fairly constantly, it never hurts to ask.
Thank you... Where did I hear it.... There are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots
Really? THAT's what you think is the right thing to do? 'cause IMO the right thing for Jets to do is to save every penny so they can pay people who will actually be playing, like Mo, for example.
