Yep, just camp talk. They kept saying Sanchez/Geno looked equal in practice in 2013. They did not look equal at all when I watched. Then Geno was officially exposed in the Giants game, so Sanchez was thrown to the wolves. Great strategy by our former regime.
The fact is geno obviously doesn't have the respect of his teammates if one would hit him and not one person stood up for Geno
I also believe there are people here who have totally bought into that talk and probably never even saw Fitzpatrick play and still want geno as the starter for that reason alone and if that's not the reason they still support him then it's something more. They can't possibly believe he would be better based of what he has done in the past.
If he goes on season ending IR or even 8 week IR they might have insurance against the money they would lose. Probably more so on huge contracts but who knows and that's why I said MIGHT and SOME.
Ok maybe. Never heard that in the nfl. I know the nba does it. Its gotta be tought to get nfl contracts insured considering the injury rate
I'm sure it's expensive and that's why I think they only do partial insurance when they do it at all.
Probably because Bowles told his entire team now to talk to the media. Ever since the Revis interview no other player will say much about the incident. It's a simple gag order
Yeah after hearing about the team not respecting him and him provking IK, I am done with him. He's a talentless baby. Let Fitz start.
I hope you're right Axel but on the face of it, Geno doesn't have a whole lot of fans in that lockerroom. Geno got punched, but he seems to have provoked that kind of response with the finger to the face. I guess he thought being the starting Qb made him untouchable. IK certainly proved that wrong. Unless Geno plays lights out this year, his time with the Jets may be drawing to an unceremonious close. When Geno comes back, you'll see all the required "welcome back Geno" statements but read between the lines. If Fitz is playing well and the team is winning, do you think TB will put Geno out there? He'd be crazy if he did. Don't forget Bowles has to win the lockerroom more than Geno does.
The right side of the line was the better side last year. We had a well above average run game last year with the weaker left side. The left side is now better than the right side. Carpenter is good in the run game and average to slightly below average in pass protect. Price has nothing to do with it so why bring that up. Finally we have a superior OC calling the plays. The OL looked good in their series last night. The run game looked good. Ivory is still Ivory, Powell is still Powell, and Stacy/Ridley are an upgrade over what's his face from last year. Fitz looked ok. He's had virtually no snaps with the ones. He is still in recovery mode re the leg injury. If you think he is TOTALLY recovered already, you're wrong. He'll continue to gain in strength and power as his platform improves. Is he known to have less than stellar arm, yes, but that is just about his only knock. If Geno comes back and beats him out of the starting job then I'd be both shocked and delighted, but it ain't happening.
100% Bowles is not happy about the incident and he sure as shit doesn't want anyone talking about it. That would just prolong the distraction. _
[QUOTE=" If Geno comes back and beats him out of the starting job then I'd be both shocked and delighted, but it ain't happening.[/QUOTE] It also says volumes for how bad our record would be and in that case nobody will care anyway.
Geno didn't start this. Again, if it was over money, the guy that owes the money will never be the person to walk up to the person owed about the money they OWE them. Geno did not get knocked out actually.
Lol its amazing that people actually think Fitz is night and day better then Geno....I'm not a Geno guy but he has a higher celing then Shitzpatrick.Geno has proven he can also make plays with his feet which Fitz can not.My first Choice is Geno over Fitz until Geno shits the bed.Personally I hate both of them but I wanna see where Genos at before I go all in on a mediocre QB who's been in the league for 11 years without ever bringing his team a winnng record over 16 games
That's great .....we have a revamped offense .He had nothing to work with the last two years while trying to overcome growing pains and a shitty staff
