Don't agree. Guys can play well but aren't smart and aren't leaders and they get knocked out in the first round. IMHO. _
See that's the thing and you just spelled it out for yourself. I never excused the violence, but it was certainly antagonized by Geno. This stuff doesn't happen all the team with the leaders of NFL franchises and you're using his age as a crutch for starting an argument and essentially being a whiney bitch about having to rightfully pay someone back (who he's dodged in giving the money for several weeks). IK got his punishment and if he doesn't dominate or follow Rex around for the rest of his career he's not going to find a third job. He's the bigger idiot in this situation because it's a strike 2 of violence against him, and he's the bigger idiot because he threw the big blow. There's no apologizing for IK's behavior and I'm not trying to do so. However. You're excusing Geno's immaturity as if this is his first week of practice in the league. The guys been here for going on three years, and he's about to be 25 years old. This isn't some fly by night freshman in college acting childish. At this point, he's a grown man and a millionaire at that for going on three years. If he pays him day one of camp you and I aren't talking about this. He didn't because he's not a stand up guy and he's no one a teammate would rely on. They've expressed that in not blaming IK 110% including our very own 72 million dollar man holding them both at fault. Think what you want. The quarterback of a team never gets anywhere near a conflict like this and as childish as it is on both sides, neither player, especially given their shitty production, would get another shot on my team.
than they win 2 sbs and are leaders( see: manning, eli) trying to remember all those stories about drew brees the leader when he was failing out of san diego. i recall peyton pre sb getting alot of flack for his leadership when he called out his oline after a play off loss. win a sb, what a great leader. now geno might have(probably) over played his hand in the locker room, but i think it has more to do with his w-l than his "leadership abilties" p.s. jordan would fight guys in practice if he thought they were dogging it, punches thrown fights. think that would be "leadership" from the third guy off the bench?
I would have no problem keeping Fitz as the starter when Geno comes back and the Jets are winning and he playing good. If Jets are winning and he playing like shit he needs to go to the bench and start Geno. As for defending Geno? All I ever said is only his 3rd year and you don't give up on a guy who has showed flashes. If he hasn't shown flashes I would be right on the same side that Geno needs to go. I've also said this should be Geno final chance with the Jets. He got the weapons now so it time for him show and prove. If not I will be the first guy to say he got to go.
If it takes winning a SB to become a leader, it's a pretty safe bet Geno Smith will never become a leader.
I thought being a leader is put of being a "dickhole"? I guess a leader isn't a guy who scared to get into someone face when they keep fucking up?
I don't know what the fuck you are a asking me when you go into illiterate mode. Ask me a question in English and I'll answer. Go back and read what you posted. It's incomprehensible. _
