I mean H-Back requires more of a receiving weapon than blocking right? I like the kid Wes Saxton as a receiver he's got good speed too.. hopefully he makes the squad.
It's mostly a hybrid of RB/TE with some dfferent blocking duties and interesting receiving routes. That guy Buffalo stole from Miami is an excellent example. Miami just seems to like giving new talent away, I guess.
Did you guys see what Cimini wrote about Amaro and the Jets TEs? LOL http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york-je...hy-loss-of-jace-amaro-isnt-crippling-for-jets
I'm starting to think that the only one of Idzik's 18 or so draft picks to ever make an impact is Sheldon, and he still has a lot of growing up to do.
Charles Clay? He was good for MIA last year... our guy Pryor put him on his ass ! lol. but yeah thanks for the H-Back knowledge i wasn't sure.
I know I make jokes about players killing us for years, but Clay is going to be a constant for the Bills, there will be many highlight reels. Pryor... Not so much.
Loosing Amaro is not insignificant to Gailey's offense IMO. You might not like that he was drafted in the second round, you might not like the Idzik stigma, or the fact that his blocking was poor last year. I would argue than even with that he could have been a bigger contributor that Cumby. He showed flashes of great potential last year. In addition, according to everything I read he was coming along very well in training camp, he was expected by the CS to really elevate his game this year and was going to be used primarily as an HB to optimize his college skill set. That leaves us with essentially nothing in an already weak position, which unfortunately further weakens the options to a QB that is not known to be a threat to stretch the field to start with.
I keep seeing this NCJetsfan goofball trying to lay down the gospel. Same guy that whined like a bitch about personal attacks when he makes many of them himself, and his posts aren't all that enlightening. Lightweight.
I'm not seeing the LOL part. There's got to be an athlete out of work out there that can block...if that's what we need. Though it'd be nice to have a big body that can cross the middle without getting himself killed.
If the Lions have Tim Wright, and Eric Erbon - I hope they cut Joesph Fauria. I would take a look at him for sure. I would even look to entertain a trade.
Really? I think Pryor is going to knock heads off.. that'll be his highlights.. he had his fair share last year but don't forget he was playing FS, he never played that in his life he claims.. straight run supporting SS. He's no cover guy for sure but this year he'll roam and zone in the box and kill anything that comes out of the backfield.. the help around him will allow for this. Roy Williams much?
