I think it's safe to say that anyone who was banking on Coples and Davis turning the corner this year are feeling kind of dumb right now.

Only a matter of time before Erin Henderson starts stealing snaps from Davis. So many of Matthews yardage came after contact. We need more sure tacklers and Davis is not that.
No instincts. It was the main knock on him coming out of college. It was in most scouting reports Didn't help that Rex was boasting about him before he played a down. Saying things like Davis reminded him of Ray Lewis. He kinda runs like Lewis, they look similar when they run. End of story. Rex didn't shut up either....bragging about the pick Nevermind the leadership. A guy doesn't walk on the field right out of college a leader. That was hype bs too. He's got his good points. But he has no instincts. He'll never be a great player. I thought Joe Mays looked better than him in the preseason.
Keep in mind that this is a contract year for him. He has a huge incentive to play lights out. Don't be surprised if we let him walk at the end of the season.
