DWB with a history of DUI's is just rolling the dice.

Henderson should have a nice white chauffeur, ideally looking just like Alfred from the 60's Batman show doing his driving for him when he is out on the town.

When Scott was here, he absorbed the blocks so the better tackler could make plays. Harris is still a better tackler than the younger DD.

Yes, exactly that's why we rarely gave up a run longer than 2-3 yards because Harris always makes the tackle in the hole. Unfortunately he's a combination of too small/not fast enough to beat the blocks to switch roles with Harris so we're going to have to pray he figures out how to tackle and last week as an anomaly.

Sans Harris, all of our ILB's are free agents.

It'll be interesting to see who sticks around next year and plays WILL, especially given our other contract situations.(wilkerson, Ivory/Powell, snacks)

if Davis continues to underperform at times or we find we don't miss his impact when Henderson or Lattimore are around… well it may prove easier to sign those two to a modest extension than Davis so we could move on.

    Its a long season though.

It's time we invest higher draft picks on the ILB position. Hopefully there is something we can target in the coming draft.

The Dolphins were 0-16 on third and fourth down today (!!!!)

This defense has a chance to be very, very, very good.

Remember, we are still scheduled to get Mr. Richardson back. This defense excites me.

if running backs are getting to cromartie we have bigger problems. our LBs and ends should be setting that edge. backs shouldnt be getting to the sideline without a swarm of jets meeting them there

perfect timing. our dline hasnt been great pressuring the qb prior to the london game. sheldon gets the bye week to get back in sync, a tuneup game against the redskins and then gets to T off on the patriots

Luck is Elite. he is a top 5 QB

    Rodgers
    Brady
Manning(maybe not if his arm strength doesnt improve)
    Luck

as far as odell beckham, that catch was great but that isnt why he gets all the hype. he set just about every single rookie record, and thats even with missing 3 or 4 games. dude is a complete stud

new rules shouldnt have anything to do with why an ILB is consistently missing tackles. missing more then usual? sure. constantly missing them, no way. thats like literally his main job, make the tackles. he hasnt been doing it, and it isnt because of a lack of padded practices

Jets D was ugly in the first half. second half we were lights out. but our pass rush was non exsistant in the first and bradford had all day to throw. overall they didnt play bad. special teams and turnovers lost that game

It's bound to happen on occasion and I don't trust him to make the open field tackle when it does. It's a recipe for a big play. He made a really lucky shoestring tackle yesterday to prevent a big gainer.

it will happen, and when it does we will give up a big play sometimes. every team gives up big plays sometimes. my point is for cro to be 1 on 1 against a runningback 2 or 3 guys would have had to have completely blown their assignment. if thats happening, the issue isnt cro. few teams have 2 solid tackling corners. those guys are there to cover. if they get to the point where they are forced to tackle a runningback, your defense was seriously compromised

This is exactly the type of thread that shows who understands football and who hyoe up dumb shit based purely off of emotional non-sense.

Some of our fan (a lot) base is atrocious.

I come here because I just realized we are far and away the best team in the NFL on defense as far as Points Against is concerned.

Then I look at our ranking. We are #1. This stat is a little decieving a lot of the time, so I looked at other statistics and we are top 5 throughout the majority of the stats you would want your defense to be in.

Our defense is still putting it all together but we are doing extremely well as we solidify the true potential of this defense.

    That is exciting.

Then I instantly see this shit storm of a thread.

    Wonderful.

So you're saying they did a good job tackling vs. Philly? We gave up 130 yards on the ground to a team that has 150 total in the other 3 games. The defense has been great but there's nothing wrong with discussing it when they have a piss poor game.

That's what message boards are for..
