Yeah, its not like Rex can take a team hopelessly out of contention into the last game of the season and pull off an impressive win. You'd have to be a fool to expect that to happen.

200 million dollars is an exaggeration. Cromartie has 1 year guaranteed. Williams, Revis, Skrine, and Pryor have been great for us this year. We have enough depth at the position that when Revis and Williams are out we can still beat a team like the Giants who are entirely a passing attack. Our Defense as a whole has been one of the best in the league with a bad linebacker corps.
It's hard to keep passing numbers down on defense when that's all offenses do becAuse teams average like 20 yards a game on 10 carries against this jets defense. Teams know they can't run on us so they air it out. Of course there going to let up a lot of passing yards
yeah i understand. Guess it was my fault for thinking we had the perfect defense to really shut down any offense over the offseason. It's still really good..but there's a lot of room for improvement based on it's potential. week 1-4 (minus philly) and what we did sunday is more of what i expected consistantly.
20th in yards allowed because when teams can't run on you they have to try and pass, 5th most attempts against, #1 in completion percentage, #5 in avg. passer rating, 10th in pts allowed, 9th in passes defensed. One stat does not tell the story.
Yes, and season long the lack of a pass rush has also contributed to total yardage being so high against the pass defense. Pass defense is not solely about how well your secondary plays. The linebackers have also been awful in pass coverage, especially Davis.
