Williams is mainly playing as the dime CB or 6th DB. That means that when he is on the field the Jets are usually in some sort of zone and he is reading the QB's eyes on the play.

He and Cro are doing two completely different jobs out there so I think they probably aren't compared to each other in the evaluations.

The start at safety tells us a lot about how the defensive staff view Williams. They want him looking at the QB, not at an individual receiver.

In his defense, he played special teams.

But yeah, he's a piece of glass

He missed another big tackle after giving up a catch. It's amazing how terrible he is at tackling and he's made zero progress in 10+ years.

True but some of Williams picks came when he was subbing in or playing on the outside.. a few fell in his lap though while he was in the dime.. like saturday.

Time to move on from Cro and Mill.... Mill showed promised last moth of his rookie season but has been a waste of a pick... he can not stay healthy!

    What a travesty.

Milliner has to go down as one of the worst draft picks ever.

Isn't it funny though how that kind of stuff doesn't really happen whenever any other player subs in?

I do believe some of his plays are luck, but being in the right place most of the time stops being luck at some point.

I heard they were thinking of converting Marcus Williams to safety.

That'd be interesting with his ballhawk skills.

I say leave him where he is... He could be a 3rd safety on the field disguised as a CB. He doesn't hit like a safety anyway so he's good where he is doing what he does. Just a CB with a nose for the ball. Leave the heavy lifting for Pryor and player X.

I think Marcus Williams sucks at safety. He's not tackling any TE or RB . he's strictly coverage and should be kept on WRs because he sticks to his guy well.

I just he can play full time next year, cause that's where he'll most likely be at, with Wilks contract coming up this time is gonna look a lot different next year. We need to get him signed long term he's earned it

He doesn't stick to his guy well, he's a ball hawk. He has tremendous ball skills. That makes him well suited to the zone corner/ safety hybrid position... He's Devin Mccourty/ Flowers type CB
