Now that it has been legally established that Long Island is a peninsula and not an island (although the ruling is not expected to have any real effect on residents), it follows that it can no longer be called Long Island with any justification. A peninsula is almost an island, but not quite. Therefore the name no longer applies, and must go.

I think they need to share an arena with the NJ Devils. They can still be the Islanders, because it will continue to be a meaningless name.
