As a college math student, I see the importance of knowing how you get an answer. In college, math isn't about computations (those are straightforward and besides you can use a computer to get the answer). It's about understanding and proving theorems other people came up with so you can eventually start developing new theories of your own. Having said that, if you're trying to teach theory to grade schoolers, you'd better be a good teacher or you'll confuse the shit out of your students.
You could have at least spread your posts out instead you contradict yourself in the next post. By having a quota system and giving opportunity to those who don't rightly deserve it you take away from someone who deserves it. Test scores determine entry into many high schools and certainly into many civil service jobs, very easy to determine who should get the position. Instead it goes to someone with a lower test score and thus less deserving. I am just curious where you grew up and how old you are if you don't mind answering. I wonder if that might have a bearing on our different thinking. Edit: Saw your next post that you are in college so that covers the age question.
Those said veterans would also be an embarrassment to their country Whoever hates this country so much should walk onto a plane and GTFO
Kaepernick is a moron. Long before he started this latest uproar, when Kapernick did an interview with the various sports networks, I noticed that he talks like an idiot.
Put a turban on this douchebag and he looks like bin Laden. Sitting for the anthem and wearing Castro shirts is minor league shit though, I'm hoping this clown goes full douchebag and joins ISIS, he'll fit right in.
Have a 5 and a 10 y.o. and can't help them with their math. Its not that i don't know the answers, i can't show the work they want.
Not a contradiction. TNJet said that working hard doesn't factor in anymore, which is an absolute statement. All I need is one counterexample to discredit it. Whereas you were trying to use a specific example to argue against a general point, which doesn't work well. And yeah, I'm a student, but I'm not a sociology major, so there's that.
Lol reading a TNJet post and formulating and opinion based on it. You might as well write a sonnet about your morning dump.
How could you say such a statement? Those veterans that support Kaepernick, fought for this country just like the veterans that disagree with Kaepernick. Does Kaepernick HATE this country? I don't think so. Hate is a strong word here, displeased, angry, confused, and fed-up maybe are better word choices here.
Sounds like a scary way to teach math. Knowing how to get an answer and reverse engineering are two essential troubleshooting habits students should continue to develop in my opinion. Theories are fun, but like you said that can be confusing. If the student struggles with the teacher's theory, what happens next. It sucks cause if they so happen to struggle, the amount of resources around them lessen after school hours. It's so freaking confusing how they do it.
Kaep is a gullible, privileged moron with no respect for those who gave their lives to defend his right to share his misguided views. I hope he gets cut and no one else offers him a job in the NFL. Then I hope he blows his millions on sneakers made by actual oppressed children and has to work a real job the rest of his life to make ends meet. wearing a fidel castro shirt while claiming to stand up against oppression. gtfoh dude
I was thinking about this lately and I decided if he is sure he will be cut and pretty much everybody is sure he will be this might be a way to keep his job. You can just imagine the firestorm that will surely come if they cut him after this.
guy can do what he wants i don't give a fuck http://www.ninersnation.com/2016/9/1/12748234/colin-kaepernick-cop-pig-socks-kezar-practice
I just find it funny that some veterans are backing him. Kaep is not a role model and we should not view him as one, the majority of sports athletes are not role models. He exercised his right, and that's that. He doesn't need to blow millions doing that because he's regressed so far in terms of being an NFL QB, that he probably will never start another game in the NFL ever again and be broke in the process.
Veterans are backing him because he has a right to expose himself as the douchebag that he is. I just wish more douchebags would do it so we'd know exactly who they are, but not everyone is a never-been garbage QB living off a disaster contract.
Regardless how strong you feel about what he is doing. He has a right to a peaceful protest. You don't have to agree with what he is doing everything will work itself out
If you don't respect the flag/country and all the liberty and opportunity it affords you, then yes you hate your country. Veterans who support his right to voice his opinion are very different than those who would spit on the flag in such a way. Kaepernick has free speech and nobody will or should arrest him for it, but he has no business playing in a public league where people pay to see him play. Nobody wants to pay to see that disgusting act of ingratitude and ignorance
