Is Kaep a douche? Absolutely, the dude took Aldon Smith's chick and caused a locker room issue. In terms of the bold, that's how I feel about people who vote for Trump, however that is a different story. He has the right and the argument should end right there.

He has no business playing in the league because he cannot play. Again its a right, if the NFL blackballs him then well that's on the NFL to decide. How come the NFL hasn't said anything? Shouldn't you be more mad at them for not taking action?

hopefully this is the last straw and we never see this POS ever again in the NFL:

but reality is the 49ers are probably a bunch of pussies and won't cut him until they have a solid performance excuse. At that point he is blackballed for life

Dude is just a troll. His career is over and everybody knows it, so he's out getting attention any way he can get it. Pig socks? I bet he loves those pigs who protect his mansion out in San Jose.

You are correct, and teaching problem solving is different than teaching mathematical concepts.
I am a huge conservative, but the one thing conservatives are out right wrong on is common core math. It is not unclear logic, it is the math stripped down to its most basic level and built back up conceptually.

I do teach problem solving with a template that I teach them they can use for any situation in life.
P - Problem , Ask your self what is the Problem? What is it asking? What am I trying to find or figure out?
Re-write the question in your own words
I - Information - What do I know, What information do I have, What information do still need?
P - Plan - pick a strategy, or solution path. Could be a picture, could be steps
    S - Solve/Solution -- carry out your plan.
Write your solution in a complete sentence.

The model rotates around 4 squares that the solution sentence ends up underneath the problem and should answer the original question paraphrased.

Granted this is simplistic, and I teach them as they get older they will go through these steps more mentally, but I have had great success in teaching 5th graders the process of solving a problem.

Please cite your qualifications to pass judgement on anyone else's exercise of their freedom of speech, especially a veteran of the US Armed Forces. While you're at it, please explain how you can equate someone criticizing any aspect of American life with hating the country. Both seem quite un-American to me.

Very insightful, your way of explaining it far easier to understand in comparison to a teacher I know teaching this now.

I'm getting so sick and tired about hearing about this. ESPN radio has been talking about this for 3 days now.

If the man wants to protest social injustice and inequality, let him do it. He's not insulting military troops that died, in fact many vets actually support him. That is how things get done in this country, it was pretty much founded on those rights. It may be controversial and non politically correct now, but that doesn't make him wrong.

Think about the folks that protested during civil rights when African Americans purposely stayed at "white only" restaurants and other businesses that were segregated. At that time, folks were upset and considered that controversial and wrong as well, but in hindsight it was the right thing to do. If what CK does, inspires folks to start taking these issues more seriously and sparks up some dialog that eventually leads to improved race relations and in general relations between cops and civilians, in 50 years from now we may look at it in the same light.

I just feel he shouldn't be roasted so harshly for expressing himself, but at the same time people do have a right to speak against his actions as well, and the pig socks were taking it a bit too far, but sometimes you need to do extreme things like that to grab people's attention. I'll probably get roasted for this post, but I can't stand how PC everybody is these days. His protest has nothing to do with the military, yet it's pretty much all people are talking about.

U folks who live on long island should take a look at todays newsday page a27, opinion section..........

The article is titled "Kap offers a valuable lesson"..........it would be interesting to see how many folks agree or disagree with the author.

For the record i strongly disagree and do plan to inform the author about it.

Once the season starts and the talking heads can discuss action on the field, this will go away.

Remember the whole Ryan Lockte "robbery" from a few weeks ago? No one gives a shit now.

I read the column this afternoon and went back and read it again now. A bit of it may be slightly heavy-handed but it's hard to find something in it that's objectionable; would you care to share what it is that you strongly disagree with?

Perhaps I should rethink my policy of posting at 4am after drinking a half bottle of rum too.

Football fan, end of story. If I'm a 49ers fan they are no longer getting any of my money.

He can have his freedom of speech to his hearts' content sitting at home playing madden and trolling the web on anti-American websites

Don't know what to tell you if you don't think disrespecting the national anthem isn't hating your country. Nothing wrong with criticizing the system or how things are done, but to blame the country for it is being a completely ungrateful imbecile.

    you ever read 1984?
You worship songs and Bed sheets on poles.
National pride is a pretend meaningless thing. It only exists because you choose to believe it does.

to put in a perspective..If you believe in God, God doesnt care about national pride.
Its not a sin to not salute a flag.
I didnt take off my hat during a minor league national anthem last week. Does that make me evil?
    no,of course it doesnt

That really is the story here. He can do whatever he wants and so can the people who pay him for that right. If too many boycott as well as the local cops and they are seriously thinking of doing so then the niners will have to make a decision. Dump him or pay the millions per game it will cost in lost revenue and private security..I have a pretty good idea hoi that will go.
