I love these hate threads. It's hard to accept having the 3rd best QB in the division with the 2nd best team. Don't worry, I still think Fitz is better than Tannehill or Taylor. Mehta was especially hilarious this week talking about how the Jets are basically guaranteed first in the division after you beat KC.
No doubt Brady is a great, great QB. However, you have to wonder how he would perform on the Browns, or Titans. He probably is only a HOF because of everything falling into place just right. That said, it's hard to hate on him. When he's on the field he's almost always flawless.
Brady is unique, the "system" is Brady. He knows the offense and defenses he will play better than anyone. And if you cannot intellectually get on his level then he will not throw you the ball. This has been seen countless times with NE drafting high picked receivers. Brady thrives around players who can see into his mind, it is not the system, it is receivers reading the defense like a QB. Look at all the prolific type receivers who gave up after coming to NE, like Galloway, Ochocinco, Reggie Wayne.. That is an offense run by Brady who it takes a special receiver to step into. Randy Moss, BB says he might have the greatest football IQ of all time. Welker and Edelman, two of Brady's instant best friends. Gronk, BB talks about his football IQ on the same level as Moss.. You simply can't call Brady a system QB, he's spent countless years with talent laughable by most team standards. Yet he can still surpass Manning's records, health permitting. I don't care what Cassel did, and I think Garoppolo has looked better than almost any NFL QB in 2016 through his 6 quarters. Brady is another standard.
Grudgingly I have to agree. Not to cheapen the discussion but I'd have a lot more respect for him if he; at worst didn't cheat and at best destroy evidence. What a juggernaut that team has been for the past 15 years. It can't be sustainable.
Hit him. Hit him hard. Hit him often. He's older and the last few years have shown it's starting to wear on him. It's been that way since Rex's first got to the Jets and every year that goes by it will become more true. If you look at most games the Pats have lost recently, Br*dy spends half the game on the ground.
All I know is that it's terribly depressing to have watched that game last night. You have a resurgent Houston team with their 18M/yr QB destroyed by the Pats and their 3rd string QB. Still worse, it puts more pressure on the Jets to win on Sunday. One can dismiss the success by citing Spy-gate and Deflate-gate but the game still has to be played on a football field. As much as it pains me to say it: Brady is the greatest QB, and Belichick is the greatest coach. The record proves it. I just wish the Jets brain trust would someday realize how important the position of QB is to winning football.
Scary thing about that for the NFL is that NE is 3-0, some younger guys getting important development, and Brady is avoiding 4 games worth of big hits behind an improved, but still shaky at times OL. Rodger has given NE a chance to see if they have the heir-apparent in JG, and at worst has gotten NE a few high draft picks by showcasing him. Basically everything he didn't want to happen has unfolded over the first 3 games.
That's called cheating: deflate gate, spy gate, tuck rule, headset malfunctions, eaves dropping opponents' locker room etc.......
This is the problem with cheating and lying...you can never fully trust an individual or organization. Pats should be assigned a league official that monitors their meetings, practices, and game time sideline activities. They are like the steroid users that have been caught. They have convinced themselves that everyone else ischeatung therefore they are really just making the level of competition equal. Their arrogance increased by way of success and not getting caught. Now that they have they wont "snitch" and they will die before they admit they are wrong. I hate watching them because everytime they make a big play it feels to good to be true.
You say pissed off as if his suspension was unjust. He needs to be a humble Brady and come back and try to clean up his legacy. "Hes so smart" people say...He should be when he has eyes and ears in everyone elses huddle and playbook. I wouldnt be suprised if they have spies on each team. BB is a creep that tries to appear normal from time to time. He has that whole serial killer profile. . Probably has missing players buried in his back yard.
fvck that shit. I give Belichick a ton of credit. He's been the best coach this generation, although the cheating stigma will always rightfully be associated with him as well. Br*dy is an entitled, spoon fed, overrated brat tho, and Belichick's continued success without him proves that further.....so I don't think your post makes sense in terms of it's QB points. quite the opposite really, as Belichick has been making the point that coaching is the most important aspect of the game. Br*dy's no where near the best, and wouldn't be shit if he had been drafted into any other coach/system.
i don't believe Rodger 'wanted' anything other than a guilty man serving his punishment. he doesn't give a shit how the team does with or without him, so long as they know bending rules will no longer be tolerated. in terms of JG, again it's all Belichick. the Pats are showing that their ST's are still flawless, their D is becoming top level again, Belichick is still the best game planner and adjuster out there, and that they are capable of winning w/o Br*dy.. they don't really need Br*dy which has to be encouraging for u as a Pats fan.
The outlier with a bunch of jags is def proving they're not on be level and never will be. These kind out outcomes are so off the law of averages chart......the media are afraid to even question it
