I didn't see this thread started anywhere. Tampa Bay started off hot, but couldn't keep up with Atlanta's offense. On another note, after Winston got whacked and was taken out of the game, Glennon finished 10/11 and lead a touchdown drive including a two point conversion. When will we start seeing the trade a first rounder for this beast threads over in the Jets forum?
Speaking of Week 9 Is it better to keep winning or losing??? If We end up 7-9 imo we lose a top 10 pick Glennon ??? First lemme see what Hack/Petty can do
The Bucs wanted a first rounder for him at draft time. I believe his contract is up after this year. I can't see them franchising him, so he'll go to the highest bidder. He, Cousins & Cutler are likely the biggest names available. It wouldn't surprise me if Glennon get an Osweiler sized deal.
You know seeing Herm up there did 2 things for me : A It gave me that warm fuzzy nostalgic feeling in my heart B The realization that Edwards must have practiced that speech about 100 times in the mirror and nobody on the team listened
So then what.. Herm gets to warm a seat on TV now Why is he not the Coach? Hmmm our second AA coach maybe that's lucky
Guest appearance in the locker room prior to this weeks game???? I liked Herm, but I wonder how much further those teams could've gone if we had a better coach. The taking a knee in Pittsburgh (to move the kick back) fiasco is really what I'll always remember about him. The true irony of the guy is he'll always be remembered for that speech, yet he always coached not to lose.
Wentz looking real bad in New Jersey. He has definitely come down to earth. Eagles defense looks pretty crappy too. Giants up two TDs.
Terrible pass by Eli costs the Giants an easy 6, and gives the Eagles the ball near midfield with a chance to get in FG position.
Is it too early to start talking about Dak Prescott for both Rookie of the Year and the MVP? Has that even been done before?
Sure, Fred Lynn and Ichiru Suzuki. And Wilt Chamberlain and Wes Unseld. Actually, Earl Campbell did it. The only one of the four major North American sports leagues where it hasn't happened is the NHL.
Dak should be in the conversation at this point. He doesn't have a lot of yards, but makes up for it in wins. Matt Ryan has to be the favorite right now with his stats but if Dak leads the Cowboys to the best record in the NFL which actually might happen if you look at the rest of their schedule, you have to have him in the conversation.
Would puke if they gave it to Shady. He missed 4 games and they went 3-1 in his absence. Not to mention the 3rd stringer Jacoby Brisett was involved in those 4 games too. 12 game MVP? Blah
Also have to keep Ezekiel Elliott in mind. I think if him and Dak are close though you have to give the edge to the QB.
