Can't believe no one is talking about this. If its been mentioned Im sorry, but I was at the game sunday and this play infuriated me from the moment I witnessed it. This is pathetic and inexcusable, any QB should have been clocked during that play. You think anybody is taking it easy on Fitz when he goes downfield to block? Hell no, Rob Ninkonvich or some asshole would have decapitated our QB.

All week long all we do is kiss Brady's ass in the media, and then we come out with this type of play. I was disgusted the whole game about this and really tells about the culture of this team. We don't even resemble a football team. Brady should have had his bell rung and instead we let him prance down the fucking field like a fairy. SICK of this team. Nauseating. I want to watch a real football team, this is utter shit.

Yea I don't remember seeing this during the game but the highlights just pissed me off. Brady should have been blown the f**** up but I'm sure the refs would have called a unsportsmanlike penalty to protect Brady, even when he's a blocker...smh

It's a big joke on social media now, there's cute little videos about him running down the field as a lead blocker. This is worse than the fucking butt fumble. That showed a lack of brains, this instance shows a lack of heart and balls. This team has absolutely no balls.

That's not surprising at all. Certain players have been half assing it and playing scared all year. They probably laid down on giving Brady the shove.

I blew up when I saw that and couldn't believe what I saw. Shows how soft the defense really has gotten under ToiletBowles this season.

If the defenders clocked Brady the Patriots do not get a first down on that play. In a close game it could have been the margin of victory. Brady getting injured would have been the icing on the cake.

The amazing thing is Blunt practically used Brady as a barrier to pick up extra yards. Sheldon should have blown up both Blunt and Brady.

Pretty much why I've been so apathetic to this team. If they don't care, why should I? If they don't hate the man that has kicked their asses and mocked them on numerous occasions why should I?

that was pathetic. They have mailed it in.

-Watch Calvin Pryor on that play, just follow him. The run goes towards him first and he can't make the stop and when Blount reverses course he's like "oh well" and doesn't even bother with backside pursuit, - Leonard Williams does the same thing.

-Also watch Gilchrist on that play too. He ends up standing there right by Brady with the running back behind him. A football player with any balls on them blows Brady up and takes down the running back, Fuckin pussy steps backwards to avoid contact with anyone including Brady.

Was Bowles asked about this play in his press conferences? Love to hear what he thought. Agreed its worse than the butt fumble and shows how unmotivated this team is, which is reflective of Bowles. Would Woody be so embarrassed from this clip to actually do something about it?

The team has no fire, no desire to be assertive and would rather be push overs to Brady. Bowles encourages this behavior with his lackadasical demeanor. He even said so himself in his phone conference yesterday when he said he rather they tackle the ball carrier instead of blowing up the QB.

The players end up being an extension of their head coach. If you have no fire as a head coach then the players won't either. Said this a few posts ago but if Brady ran free like that and Rex was coaching the team, a Jets defender would have knocked Brady out cold.

That's not to say Rex is a great coach but he did at least have an attitude and he made it well known to anyone and everyone that he did not like the patriots. Now we have a head coach who respects the pats to a disgusting degree and would rather let their QB run free without any consequence.

My impression is Bowles is too buttoned up, too timid, and fails to adjust himself to the surrounding circumstances.

This was an embarrassing play. Any player near Brady that didnt clock him is at fault here.

As I mentioned some time ago, the comparisons between Bowles and Rich Kotite become more apparent each game.

Remember when the Steelers layed off Sanchez and didnt hit him helmet to helmet as he was sliding into the sideline? Good times.

BTW, I still believe Sanchez wasnt ever right after that hit. It was all downhill for him afterwards.

I remember a couple of years ago when we were playing the Colts - Andrew Luck threw an interception and was attempting to head off the player who had intercepted the ball when Antonio Cromartie blew him up. Perfectly legal play but the refs called Cromartie for a personal foul - I think Rexy blew a head gasket.

I think the league has told players that QBs are off limits.

The pussification of the NFL continues.

If this is the case then he shouldn't be allowed to run out as a blocker either. the second he intentionally impeded the defense he should be road kill. If they can't run him over to "protect GODell's precious baby" then he shouldn't be allowed to pretend to block.

At least Revis made contact with Brady.

Watch the very end of the play...Brady was walking backwards and Revis made sure he didn't trip and fall down.

I think it was very smart of the Jets to go easy on Brady. It was still the 1st quarter and Tommy returned the favor and went easy on us the rest of the game.

The writer of the article also mentions the "benevolence" that opposing teams showed Joe Namath towards the end of his career. I don't remember that, but I do remember Namath getting absolutely slaughtered during games.
