I will admit his trouble with the wet ball and the fact that it's starting look like he's injury prone perturbs me. However, you can't give the final judgment on the guy after a few starts. It could take years to find out if he can be a viable NFL qb. Do the Jets have the patience to find out? Probably not.

Fitz stole $12mil from the Jets this season so yeah, let him take this upcoming ass kickin on his way out the door. There's not a Qb alive that can be successful behind this Oline so yeah, Petty isn't the answer but then, NOBODY is. I wish these idiots good lucking finding their next Qb/tackling dummy. No NFL Qb in his right mind comes to the Jets unless like Fitz, its simply a money grab.

I thought the line looked a lot better once Fitz was in. I don't know if that's a coincidence.

Do we want to be a successful organization once and for all? Then let's stop with the flashy NY worthless trade bullshit for over the hill bums and concentrate on building the trenches. And you build it with people that play every down, unsung heros that got your back. You keep and foster guys like Snacks, and you avoid guys like Revis, and Sheldon.
You develop a strong, aggressive and savvy offensive line, you stay away from mega stars than don't give a shit. You stop bringing in glamour to appease the fans instead of developing talent thru the draft.
You bring in an executive VP that knows what it takes to be successful at winning, not selling tickets. You bring in a coaching staff that is respected and talented.
And above all....you get the fuck out of NJ and stop sharing a stadium with another team.
You develop a team with pride and identity and you take no prisoners. Let your winning do the talking.

saw an article claiming dislocated shoulder that popped back in.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...y-injures-shoulder-patriots-article-1.2922530

i have seen nothing from him that makes me confident he can be a great qb, i have seen nothing that shows he can be a good qb. he can probably be a good number 2, but that seems to be what we bring in to the team the past 20 years. good number 2s. other than penny.

the rest of the team sucks, but there are plenty of things a qb can show you and he didnt show anything in his snaps.

It feels like the whole team is a colossal, steaming number 2 right now.

I'm on the fence on whether he is worth a roster spot next season. I would probably pick up a veteran to start and hope that Hackenberg improves enough to start next year as the backup. We can probably get a third string guy late in the draft, so I'm not really sure there is a place for Petty in my scenario. People who thought he was going to be our future QB were lying to themselves.

The only "official" thing I see is that our O-line sucks ass.

Get that in order and all kinds of wondrous things will occur.

You might be right but there is very little any QB can show with a whooping 2 second OL protection.

Anybody that thinks Hackenberg can be the QBoTF is fooling themselves too. With this team and CS, there is no QBoTF anywhere. Just JAGS that will come and go, win an occasional game or two, then move on. There is no one availble to train and develop a Qb on this CS. Hasn't been any such person since the Pennington Era. So, we who believed in Petty may have been mistaken, but at least we can point to an amateur OLine and a out of touch OC. If Hack is lucky, this CS won't get to finish his "training".

Petty may make it in this league. If he's lucky, he won't be with the Jests much longer.

    YEs Yes Yes

    +10000

I was quite supportive of Mac and most of his moves

Of course hindsight is 20/20 and what if Macs mega stars pan out? We don't have this discussion

But 100 per cent on board we must build through the draft prob get a VP and eliminate players with toxic attitudes

The Stadium ? " if you wish it ...it will come' but right now just a Field of Dreams

Yeah I agree that petty probly won't make it here much longer. And hack I've been watching alot of tape on him and he really does do some good things but he is someone that really needs to be developed properly to have a shot because of the basic qb mechanics that he lacks. This training staff seems clueless. This was like a wasted year for him. I don't know why they would not start on his mechanics this season. Instead they had him sitting at 4th qb on the roster with his thumb up.his ass

Now going into his second year there gunna try and fix him so he won't be ready till 2018 maby 2019? Idk the whole thing just seems fucked

Like I said, this Organization doesn't have a f'n clue how to develop young Qb talent. Just not in their DNA. 2018/19? If Hack is lucky by then he'll have a NFL caliber Oline and a running game. If not, he'll join the rest of drafted Jest Qb's on the scrap heap.

Yeah a sold Oline and run game can do wonders for a QB, and also an organization that can properly devolop them lol. I still have some hope for the future but maby that's because I'm only 22 lol ask me again in another 20 years I might have a different opinion

I'll save you the trouble having been in the same exact situation. They are going to suck next year, they are going to suck in 10 years..... they are going to suck in 20 years. Unless the major contributing factor which generates this monkey's tea party (Woody) changes, we are stuck. Success doesn't happen by accident. It requires the right planning and circumstances. Thats why everybody gets so bent out of shape when it occurs. I hope our prayers are answered but I definately plan to die dissapointed.

They'll keep geno and name him the starter. If I know this fuck wad of a team, that's precisely what they're going to do

The sad thing is he's much better than Fitz Petty or Hack.....even though he's been the most hated

But don't worry he's not coming back
