Powder blues are their alternate. Their White helmet isn't the worst thing in the world. The worst thing in the world is Jacksonville's new helmet.
+1 Agree, more white too. The green is still that olivy drab green tho. Gimme the kelly green or the forest green. Not that olive drab shit. I agree about the pants too. The white uni's are the best
Worse, it's like a strange reflective drab green? My preference is for forest green over kelly green, but either is much better than whatever is going on currently.
I see your point and agree with it to an extent, but one can also make the point that with the exception of one brief shining moment and perhaps a couple of momentary bright bursts, our history has been pretty darn sorry, if not downright awful. I can see grkmanga31's point that with a rebuild, it's time to make a statement that a new day is here, and a new, brighter, better future for the franchise is at hand. By changing unis we can step away from that past where we've been a circus and laughingstock of the NFL, if not the entire sports world. One man's treasure is another man's trash. What is classy to one is old and stale to another. I like our unis ok, but not the helmet logo. I think it's dumb.
In requesting a change in the design of the unis, the Jets could set very definite parameters of what they want and what they don't want, and of course they could have final approval on any design.
The problem with that jet design is that it is very dated. That jet is circa the late 50s/early 60s. It needs to be something new, sleek and more dramatic imo.
I actually liked the old Seahawk unis and colors much better. I hate the chartreuse green/highlighter yellow color on their unis now.
But does anyone like the Bucs or Jags new uniforms? Other than the development team, I think those are trash to just about everybody. I could see a logo change like when the ravens went from the winged shield to the raven head. But after an extensive google image search for potential Jets logos, I don't see any that immediately garners my enthusiasm. Suggestions?
I love that reviewer's comments about the Saints' logo and that a woman flashing for beads might be just as good as the Fleur-de-Lis! LOL His comment about the Cowboy's Star being the best logo is nonsense imo. What the heck does a star have to do with a cowboy? I realize that Texas is sometimes referred to as the "Lone Star State," and that Texas had a bunch of cowboys, but still the logo doesn't make sense to me. It would make more sense for the Houston Texans than it does for the Cowboys.
The Chargers unis don't look threatening or macho, but imo they're the prettiest color combination. I hate the Redskins burgundy and gold. The Titans have the ugliest unis imo.
Redskins, Jaguars, and Seahawks when they wear their neon green unis, are the teams I find the hardest to watch. As in it huts my eyes to watch. Jets (Titans), Broncos, and Steelers throwbacks are pretty awful, too. And any color rush. Oilers had the best uniforms ever, in my book. Powder blue chargers were second.
Yeah, get rid of the patch and put the "NY" logo centered above the Jersey number. Would look much better, IMO.

The Dolphins latest uniform/logo is pretty hideous, too. I always hated the Dolphins, but they took one of the least intimidating logos in sports and found a way to further emasculate the poor thing. It ain't right.
Has to be F-22. F-35 development cycle has been even less successful than the Jets franchise. F-117 is retired, so that's a bad way to update your look. F-15 came out in the 70's, so once again, hard to sell that as an updated look. Wow, didn't know the F-117 is retired. It looks the most futuristic to me. Is the stealth bomber also retired? If not, they could use that, and I like the idea of bombing the other team into submission. LOL
It may have something (maybe a lot) to do with starting to follow the NFL in the 1980s, but I love all those old unis, and the Seahawks one in particular was good. Loved the old Broncos unis, liked the Patriots red unis (it was before they were good and I hadn't learned to hate them). There are still some great looks nowadays, but the Jacksonville helmet is absolutely the worst thing in the entire world of sport.
