    Player, Coach or Front Office.

    Consider achievement.
    Consider effect.
    Consider heart.
Consider on the field of play.
Consider off the field of play.
    Consider your favorite.
    Consider the man.

    I say Curtis Martin.

Man, that's tough! CuMar definitely deserves consideration, but then there's Maynard and Klecko, and possibly some others who were great players and who played with a lot of heart, but I don't know anything about their off-field contributions.

Klecko personifies everything I thought the Jets should be. He defined "playing like a Jet.."

Curtis Martin to me is the definition of a football player. It was watching him in '98 that brought me to this team. Hands down my favorite player and favorite Jet.

Curtis Martin. Everything on the field that you could ask for, but off the field as well. Tough, durable, low key and classy, and, by the way, a Hall of Famer...

I feel like it's Namath and nobody else is even close. If I was going to make a Top 5, it would probably be ...

    1. Joe Namath
    2. Joe Klecko
    3. Curtis Martin
    4. Mark Gastineau
    5. Wayne Chrebet

Honorable Mention: My favorite player all-time is Al Toon and I met Don Maynard once and he was a really nice guy (let me try on his Super Bowl ring).

That’s the answer, alright. If Joe Willie hadn’t gotten hurt it would be him by a wide margin, but he did.

    Always loved Toon also.

I love chrebet as much as the next guy, but I don’t think he was ever the best WR on the jets when he was on the field

I didn’t say anything about coach but obviously there’s Weeb, and then there’s everyone else.

Agree. The name of the game is to win the Super Bowl and Joe did that for the Jets. I know Matt Snell probably should have gotten the MVP for that game, but it was the play of Joe that got them there. My second choice will probably generate some controversy but for me, it's Mark Gastineau. Take away the ass-hole personality and selfishness, on the field he was a terror to opposing QB's. In his prime he was the dominant pass rusher around and caused nightmares for opposing offensive coordinators game planning to stop him. When considering for the HOF, it should be based on who excelled at their position. Gastineau excelled at his.
