Just a little bored and wanted to project what Kerry Rhodes season will look like at the end. If he continues on pace, he will finish with 116 tackles, 6 sacks, 4 INTs, 4 FFs, and 9 Pass Defenses. That season is ridiculous! Anyone know how long he is signed because we need to lock him up as him and Vilma is the next Reed and Lewis or Bruschi and Harrison.
I like the Reed and Lewis but F the Bruschi and Harrison comparison. Im tired of looking or trying to be like the Pats. ats_suck:
Vilma is hardly in the same league as Ray Lewis. In fact, he's been downright disappointing this season. I know it's popular to chalk it up to the 3-4 switch, but it still shouldn't be an excuse for his underwhelming performance. They're not exactly a bad team to emulate, you know.
Yeah, the division-leading, 8-3 Patriots are totally dead in the water. How will they ever get out of their horrible predicament?
The patriots are going to be superbowl contenders as long as they have Brady throwing and Belly coaching. Ive grown to hate both, but theyre a great combination...........ats_suck:
Ray Lewis looked lackluster in the 3-4. Vilma has drawn comparrisons to Lewis for years in the UM circle. Lewis also entered the league weighing less than Vilma. Hes not close.........yet. I know your point though. But the 3-4 left Lewis complaining up until last yr when they drafted a good NT and switched back to the 4-3. Lets hope theyre not the same in this aspect, and that Vilma can eventually adapt.
ok i wasnt saying i was trying to be the pats..and im not comparing the 3-4..im comparing linebackers and safeties tandems. Who do the chargers have at safety that even rivals Rhodes. All im saying is that im excited about these two for years to come. And if they could be as dominant as harrison and bruschi were a couple years ago, a super bowl in their careers is on the horizon.
The question is...can the be Reed and Lewis without a DT to consistently keeo Jon free to make plays? i am very conflicted seeing this production out of the D-line so late in the season. I was hoping to pick up a playmaking DT in the offseason but now D-Rob is starting to look like he gets is, and Ellis and Hamilton have proven to be a good combo on the ends. What I am worried about, however, is that this will not carry over to next season. There are still about 4 positions where we could still use solidifying, like at RB, DT, OLB, and CB. I think our safeties are solid but we're still giving up the medium passes....I don't think thats a personnel thing as much as a scheme thing though.
From Rotoworld Signed a four-year contract on 7/27/2005. Rhodes is due base salaries of, for 2006: $310,000, 2007: $385,000, 2008: $460,000.
i hope rhodes will stay cause vilma and rhoses are a great combo both are very young and have extremely huge talent vilma has been a big dissapointment because he was a probowler last year and his stats now are 52tackles 0sacks and 1 pick
yeah. the eagles are doing a brilliant job locking up their young stars. like shawn andrews, reggie brown, mike patterson etc. guys like rhodes and vilma will only get more expensive the longer we wait.
