Pretty much my sentiment all along..ANYONE drafted has to FIND a way to win..that's why I liked Mayfield but Darnold has fought hard to win as well..Now that I have heard Rosen run his spoiled mouth Can you imagine the hissy fits that kid would have?? Darnold won't get as frustrated dealing with slow dumbwits like Bowles I have no clue what Bates will be like as well

I think this kid's personality is perfect for this market...I'd compare him to Eli in that regard. Coming into a QB room with Bridgewater & McCown will be a great influence on the kid moving forward ...these are good character guys to surround him with.

Exactly! Who will develop Darnold? Bates? McCown? Somebody has to do the job right or Darnold's career won't amount to shit here. Given the history of this team's QB development results, I fear for Darnold. I hope they hire that guy Palmer full time to just sit on Darnold and be Obi Wan. It wouldn't hurt to put a quality Oline in front of him if for no other reason to give Darnold some sense of security instead of the outright terror other young Qb's have faced recently on the Jets. Upside is Darnold doesn't have WFH on the line!

Its up to Bates and McCown. McCown is the QB Coach w/out a title. But Darnold has to do his homework as well. I think the Jets got some underrated weapons and Darnold could thrive. Not going to lie, I feel a little better about that in comparison to Schottenheimer and his color coded wrist bands.
Let's just get him in a game first. That would be major, major progress. Something Hackenberg hasn't experienced. Baby steps.
